  • Day 1 Arrival At Tribhuvan International Airport And Transfer To Hotel ( 1,350M/4,428Ft)

      Arrival At Tribhuvan International Airport And Transfer To Hotel ( 1,350M/4,428Ft)

      When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, our staff will be waiting to meet you. You will then be transferred to your hotel for rest. Our staff will assist you with check-in. When you check into your hotel, you will be given a brief overview of the trekโ€™s itinerary. In the evening, you will have an introductory welcome dinner. You have the option of spending the rest of the day exploring the city or relaxing in your room.


      Special note:

      Make sure to attend the meeting and listen attentively when our tour guide outlines the trek for you. You will be getting a good idea of what to expect during the trip. You can also know about the packing list, foods, and more. It will help you ensure that you have not forgotten to pack anything essential. In case you want to leave some luggage at the hotel, we recommend you make sure you double-check your trekking supplies before heading out on the trek.

  • Day 2 Drive From Kathmandu To Syabrubesi (1,550M/5,100Ft)

      Drive From Kathmandu To Syabrubesi (1,550M/5,100Ft)

      On this day, we will depart from your hotel via a private bus/jeep (depending on the group size). We will leave early to beat the traffic. Youโ€™ll see flowing rivers and cascading green hills outside your window as you travel. If the weather is clear, you can see snowy peaks such as Manaslu, Annapurna, and Ganesh Himal. It will take approximately 7 hours to reach Syabrubesi. Weโ€™ll have plenty of rest stops for food, snacks, and stretching your legs.


      Special note:

      The drive to Syabrubesi takes 6-7 hours. As such, you should carry some snacks and entertainment with you. If you prefer natural entertainment, the views outside are sure to keep your journey from becoming monotonous. It is still a good idea to carry some music, podcasts, or books to enjoy your drive.

  • Day 3 Trek From Syabrubesi To Lama Hotel (2,380M/7,830Ft)

      Your journey will begin in the early morning. You will be walking the main trail that runs alongside the Langtang River. The path youโ€™ll take will lead you uphill and through dense forests. You will also walk through a small Tamang village to mingle with the locals.


      Your path will be lined with stunning stone houses that will transport you to the countryside. The trail leads you not only through dense forests but also through vast, terraced fields. To get to Lama Hotel, youโ€™ll have to walk for 6 hours on an incline.

  • Day 4 Lama Hotel To Langtang Village (3,430M/11,253Ft)

      Lama Hotel To Langtang Village (3,430M/11,253Ft)

      On this dayโ€™s trek, you will rejoin the trail and climb an incline. You will be trekking up an incline towards Langtang village. The trail leads you through beautiful rhododendron forests. You will find yourself in the midst of the forestโ€™s vibrant reds and greens.

      After walking through the forest, you will arrive at Gumanechowk. As you approach Ghodatabela, youโ€™ll pass through several streams and waterfalls. The trail will then take you through a stunning, lush meadow. Langtang Village is approximately 5 hoursโ€™ walk away. From here, you have a fantastic view of the Langtang Range.

      Langtang Village is a culturally rich Tamang village, with numerous prayer wheels and the occasional prayer flag along the trail. If you want to explore further, there is a monastery nearby.

      :At Ghodatabela, there will be an army check post to verify that you are carrying all the permits required for this climb. You can find the details of these permits below in our Permits Required section. Please ensure that you are carrying all your permits.

  • Day 5 Langtang Village To Kyanjin Gompa (3,870M/12,697Ft)

      Langtang Village To Kyanjin Gompa (3,870M/12,697Ft)

      You will leave early in the morning for Kyanjin Gompa. Your journey today takes you through several settlements and beautiful meadows. Snow-capped mountain ranges become visible all around you. On this day, you will climb to our tripโ€™s highest point, Kyanjin Gompa.

      After walking for about 3-4 hours, weโ€™ll stop for lunch at our lodge. If you are up for it, you can hike up to Kyajo Ri. It is a viewpoint just a few hours away that provides breathtaking views of the mountains, particularly Langtang Lirung and Langtang II.

      This region has a rich cultural and traditional heritage. The area is predominantly Buddhist, with prayer flags, wheels, and small prayer houses. There is also a local monastery where you can experience monksโ€™ daily lives.


      Special Note:

      On this day, we will be crossing elevations over 3500m, so there is some risk of altitude sickness. The level of risk differs from person to person. However, we have our first-aid kit ready for any situation. We recommend that you inform our guide if you feel any strain or shortness of breath so that they can take the necessary measures to make sure you are safe. You will only be walking for 3-4 hours on this day so as not to overexert yourself.

  • Day 6 Rest And Acclimatization

      Rest And Acclimatization

      This day is designated for rest and acclimatization. There is a lot for you to discover. First and foremost, the views are breathtaking, and you can see much of the Langtang range. In addition to the Kyanjin Gompa, there is a cheese factory nearby.


      You can also hike up to Langshisa Kharka and the TserkoRi viewpoint (5450 meters). However, given your elevation, the latter may be quite strenuous. Because there is a risk of altitude sickness, we recommend that you allow yourself to acclimate.

  • Day 7 Kyanjin Gompa To Yala Base Camp (4600M)

      Kyanjin Gompa To Yala Base Camp (4600M)

      This dayโ€™s hike may be more difficult than the others. You will be following a trail that leads you up a rocky path. We will pace you because you must go slowly to avoid altitude sickness at this elevation. To reach Yala Base Camp, you will need to walk for approximately 5-6 hours.


      Our professional guides will ensure that you use all of your climbing gear correctly. At this elevation, you will have a breathtaking view of peaks such as Ganchenpo, Tserko Ri, Naya Kang, and Yala Peak.

  • Day 8 Summit Yala Peak (5500M) And Return To Yala Base Camp

      Summit Yala Peak (5500M) And Return To Yala Base Camp

      Prepare for the most exciting day of your climb. On this day, you will ascend Yala Peak, the highest point of your journey. The climb will be quite strenuous, as you will be climbing for 8-9 hours. However, once you reach the peak, the view is simply breathtaking. Youโ€™ll get to see famous peaks like Shishapangma, Naya Kang, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung, and others.

      Youโ€™ll have plenty of time on top to take photos and try to capture a piece of this breathtaking beauty to bring home. Although you can never get enough of these snow-capped mountains, weโ€™ll eventually have to return to Yala Base Camp.


      Special Note:

      The elevation is pretty high at this point, so you need to ensure that you take plenty of breaks. We also recommend drinking water and keeping yourself hydrated throughout the trip. The trail can be pretty steep and slippery, so be cautious about where you step.

  • Day 9 Yala Peak Base Camp To Langtang Village (3,430M/11,253Ft)

      Early in the morning, you will be treated to a stunning sunrise over the mountains. Youโ€™ll be able to enjoy your morning coffee while toasting to the majestic peaks in the distance. After that, weโ€™re ready to leave these mountains and return to Langtang village. As you descend, the greenery will greet you once more. Youโ€™ll spend 6-7 hours walking down a familiar path through green meadows and lush forests.

  • Day 10 Langtang Village Syabrubesi (1,550M/5,100Ft)

      This day, you will return to the village of Syabrubesi. The trail you take will lead you first through rhododendron forests. After a few days of admiring the barren beauty at high altitudes, this will undoubtedly be a sight to see. Furthermore, you will pass through Tamang villages and vast terraced farmlands. This dayโ€™s trek will require approximately 6-7 hours of walking.

  • Day 11 Drive From Syabrubesi To Kathmandu (1,350M/4,428Ft)

      Drive From Syabrubesi To Kathmandu (1,350M/4,428Ft)

      On this day, you will take our private transportation back to Kathmandu. You will see many small settlements, towns, and rolling hills outside your window as you celebrate your successful journey. If the weather allows, you will be able to see the majestic peaks in the distance, bidding you farewell.

      The drive will take approximately 6-7 hours. After arriving in Kathmandu, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy. You can choose to explore Thamelโ€™s vibrant streets or simply relax and relive your journey through your camera roll. Our representative will pick you up at the hotel and take you to your farewell dinner.

  • Day 12 Final Departure

      Final Departure

      Make sure to pack all of your belongings early the next morning. Our Nepal Social Treks staff will be ready to transport you to Tribhuvan International Airport. We will drop you off at the departure gate and say goodbye. From here, youโ€™ll board a plane back to your home country, and we hope to see you soon.
