Itinerary

Day 1: Cape Winelands

Stop At: Stellenbosch Vineyards, R310 Baden Powell Drive, Stellenbosch 7599 South Africa
The first stop is Babylonstoren - one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms in the Winelands. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty, fine food & wine and a sense of well-being.
We begin with a guided tour of the fruit and fresh vegetable garden which offers an ever-changing tapestry of botanical diversity. Our next activity will be a cellar tour and wine tasting of the fine wines of Babylonstoren.
Lunch will be served in the Greenhouse Restaurant. The Greenhouse offers guests a wonderful refreshment station after their walk through the garden. All food is served picnic-style in wooden crates with the preserves, jams and salads served in weck jars, while fresh bread from a wood-fired oven is wrapped in the iconic blue-and-white Babylonstoren paper.

Stop At: Robertson Wine Valley, Robertson Wine Valley, Western Cape
After lunch visit some of the area's most elegant wine estates for optional tasting of their superb wines. Guests will have an opportunity to purchase organic wines or juices.

Stop At: Avalon Springs Health Spa, Uitvlucht Street, Montagu 6720 South Africa
Overnight at Avalon Springs Hotel & Spa at the Montagu Hot Water Mineral Springs. Flowing naturally from a fissure in the rock face, these waters contain minerals that have healing powers. Although the water comes to the surface at 43°C, it reaches the various pools at different temperatures. Guests are free to spend the evening or enjoy a visit to the Health Spa.
Free for dinner at Cogmans Restaurant.

Day 2: Wine Tasting and Ostriches

Stop At: De Krans Wines, Station Rd, Calitzdorp 6660 South Africa
Leaving the Winelands, we head through the unique and scenically spectacular Klein Karoo Route 62 to arrive in Oudtshoorn, the "ostrich capital" of the world. Great flocks of ostriches provide a spectacle to be seen nowhere else. Enjoy a wine-tasting with bread & cheese platter at De Krans Wine Estate - an award winning wine estate at Calitzdorp.

Stop At: Highgate Ostrich Show Farm, Scenic Cape Route 62 Volmoed, Oudtshoorn 6620 South Africa
The ostrich is surely one of the world's most peculiar birds and you will experience a visit to a fascinating Ostrich Show Farm.

Day 3: Cango Caves - Wildlife Safari - Wine tasting

Stop At: The Cango Caves, 328 Approximately 30km (19 miles) from town on the R, Oudtshoorn 6625 South Africa
After a leisurely breakfast, we proceed to one of Africa's great wonders - the subterranean wonderland of the Cango Caves. The largely unexplored sequence of vast caverns are filled with amazing formations of glittering dripstone.

Stop At: Buffelsdrift Game Lodge - Activities, Cango Caves Road, Oudtshoorn 6620 South Africa
Experience an Optional Big 5 Wildlife Safari in an open 4X4 Vehicle with experienced rangers.

Day 4: Tsitsikamma Forest Region. Ntures Valley and Plettenberg Bay

Stop At: Plettenberg Bay, Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape
Today you will explore Plettenberg Bay and the Tsitsikamma forest region. Originally named Bahia Formosa (Beautiful Bay) by the first Portuguese explorers, Plettenberg Bay more than lives up to its name as you spend time in its environs. We will do some whale and dolphin spotting. In the winter months there will be plenty of whales to view close to the shore.

Stop At: Nature's Valley, Nature's Valley, Western Cape
The coastal road we follow wends it's way along steep river gorges, over spectacular mountain passes and through dense indigenous forests and ferns. We visit the tiny settlement of Nature's Valley, one of the loveliest havens of tranquillity along the Garden Route. Our exploration of this ancient forest leads through the tangle of trees, ferns and creepers to the undisputed monarch of the forest - gigantic Outeniqua Yellowwood trees.
An optional tour of Monkeyland or the Birds of Eden or the Knysna Elephant Park is available before departing back to Knysna.

Stop At: Le Spa Tranquille, Unit 1A, The Boatshed, Thesen Harbour Town, Knysna 6570 South Africa
Visit the award winning Le Spa Tranquille, situated on the edge of the scenic Knysna Lagoon in Thesen Island Harbour Town. Stop At: Knysna Lagoon, The coast of the city, Knysna 6571 South Africa
Optional sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. There is a choice of yachts, ferries and cruisers. Free for dinner at the Knysna Waterfront.
Duration: 2 hours

• Lunch: Bocca Dolce vegetarian/vegan café. Organic veggies, microgreens, & wheatgrass OR enjoy a sea-food lunch on the beach.

Day 5: Knysna - South Africa's Favorite Town

Stop At: The Waterfront Knysna Quays, 21 Waterfront Drive, Knysna 6571 South Africa
After breakfast guests may visit the  Le Spa Tranquille. Alternative optional activities include Yoga, Whale & Dolphin Watching, a forest or beach walk or a round of golf at a Championship Course.
There will be an opportunity to do some last minute shopping or enjoy lunch at the Garden Route Mall. We drop of our guests in the mid afternoon at George Airport.
