Day 1: Whitstable Round Trip (Via Canterbury, Fordwich, Herne Bay) (40Km)

The highlights start straight away as we commence riding from Whitstable (known for its fabulous oysters) and join the Crab and Winkle way - an 8km-long disused railway route, down into Canterbury. After sampling the architecture and waterways that run through Canterbury we head east along the Stour River. Expect natural forest paths, paved tracks through the countryside, designated paths hugging the Kent coastline and a beautiful paddle down the Stour River. You are guaranteed to have a great trip with some great diverse cycling featuring traffic free routes with coastal, woodland and country trails with a magnificent paddle to boot! Join us for an amazing pedal and paddle adventure where highlights start straight away as we set off from the pebbled shores of Whitstable, joining the Crab and Winkle Way - an 8km-long disused railway route, down into Canterbury. After sampling the architecture and water ways of Canterbury, the route follows the stunning River Stour into Fordwich where you have the chance to experience paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing for an hour. After wetting the toes with a paddle, you will have the chance to wet your tongue with a pint at the George and Dragon, before itโ€™s time to hit the road again for our last stretch towards Herne Bay, back along the coast to Whitstable.
