      Arrival in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Reception by your tour guide and transfer to your hotel (check-in time from 14:00). The rest of the day is at your free disposal.

      - Hanoi Street Food Excursion: You will enjoy Hanoiโ€™s traditional food, see Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. The tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby and then drive to the local restaurant to taste Hanoiโ€™s street food. Enjoy "Pho" - one of the traditional Vietnamese dishes, visit Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. Afterwards, the tour guide will take you back to the hotel.       Day 3: Hanoi - Lao Cai

      After breakfast, you will drive to the cultural village "Dong Mo". Here you will learn about the cultural facilities typical of the Thai ethnic group and join them in the "Dam Duong" festival of the Muong ethnic group, dedicated to the water rice farmers. If time permits, you will visit a Jarai village (Gia Rai). At lunch, you will be treated to traditional delicacies of different ethnic groups by the Muong people. By train you will travel overnight (in a 2-bed compartment) to Lao Cai.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Lao Cai - Sapa

      Day 4: Lao Cai - Sapa

      In the morning you will discover one of the most recommended markets of the mountain region such as Xincheng, Bac Ha, Can Cau or Cao Son, where you can experience the colorful hustle and bustle of local ethnic groups such as the Flower Hโ€™mong, the RedDzao, the Tay or the Nung people up close. Afterwards you will continue your journey to Sapa.

      Day 5: Sapa

      In the morning you will take a short hike to Ham Rong Mountain. From here you will have a wonderful view of Sapa and the fantastic Hoang Lien Son mountains. Later, you will visit the Black Hโ€™mong villages of Lao Chai San and Lao Chai. Here you will explore the mountains during a trekking tour. Afterwards, walk to the Giav village of Ta Van. Return to the main road via a small path. Return to Sapa by car.

      You will start the day with a walk (about 2 km) to the Hโ€™Mong village of CatCat. In the afternoon, you will take a trekking tour to Ma Tra, a small Black Hโ€™Mong village hidden away from civilization. You will then continue your tour, passing rice fields and spectacular landscapes, visiting a local school. From there, you will continue to Taphin Church, where the car will be waiting for you to return to Lao Cai. Overnight train ride (in 2-bed compartment) to Hanoi.

      Today, experience the metropolis of Hanoi, which will impress you with magnificent colonial buildings and pagodas. In the morning you will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Mondays), his former residence, the most important literary temple of Vietnam as well as the "One Pillar Pagoda" Chua Mot Cot - a landmark of Hanoi city. Then drive around Hoan Kiem Lake, which separates Old Hanoi from the former colonial district with the richly decorated Ngoc Son Temple - the Temple of Jade Mountain. Afterwards, explore the highlights of Hanoiโ€™s Old Quarter during a rickshaw ride. At the end of the day, you will attend a performance of the legendary Water Puppet Theater.

      On the new trunk road, along the rice fields of the Red River Delta, you will travel to the famous Halong Bay, known for its emerald green waters and rainforest-covered limestone islands. Your boat trip on a junk will take you through a mystical island world. For lunch and dinner you will enjoy regional delicacies - freshly prepared from the sea. You will spend the night on board the junk today.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Hanoi - Hue

      Day 9: Hanoi - Hue

      In the morning, you will continue your cruise through the dreamlike island world of Halong Bay and enjoy breakfast on board. Until noon you continue your cruise through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Halong Bay. After brunch, you will disembark and return to Hanoi. From there, you will fly to Hue in central Vietnam. Transfer to your hotel in Hue.

      Today you will take a boat trip on the Huong River - the "Perfume River" - to Thien Mu Pagoda. With the Phuoc Duyen Tower, it is the highest pagoda in Vietnam. Afterwards, you will visit the Imperial Palace and tour the imperial city of Hue, the Trang Tien Bridge and explore the Dong Ba Market in the Old Quarter - a feast for all the senses! Then head to Tu Duc Tomb - the most luxurious imperial tomb of the Nguyen Dynasty. If you wish, have dinner at Y Thao Garden, a charming garden restaurant (optional at extra cost).

      Today you will drive over the famous Cloud Pass, the weather divide between North and South Vietnam. If the weather is clear, you will have a fantastic view over the coast of Vietnam all the way to Da Nang. On this day you will still see the kilometer long beach of Lang Co and the marble mountains in Da Nang.

      In the morning you will visit the Japanese Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda, Chinese Quarter and a lantern workshop. Afterwards, you will start for a bike tour to Tra Que village with your guide. There, a short walk will take you through the farmโ€™s vegetable garden. Afterwards, relax with a foot bath with foot massage before preparing lunch together with the villagers. In the afternoon you will learn about the vegetable harvest. Afterwards return to the hotel.

      Then you will take a flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City - largest city and economic center of Vietnam. Your transfer guide will take you to the hotel. Use the afternoon for your own exploration or enjoy a stroll along the Dong Khoi shopping street.

      - Cooking class with boat tour in Hoi An In the morning, meet the chef of Red Bridge Restaurant for a personally guided shopping tour of the market. Here you will experience Hoi An up close and get a glimpse into the bustling life, foreign sounds and scents of the city and its markets. You will trade with the merchants and buy fresh ingredients for your lunch. After shopping, a boat will take you to the Red Bridge Cooking School on the Hoi An River. There you will learn and learn a lot about Vietnamese herbs, spices, ingredients as well as the art of decorating. The chef will show you how to prepare some of the most delicious Vietnamese dishes. Afterwards, under his guidance, you may get "creative" yourself and conjure up Vietnamese and Hoi An specialties for yourself on the table.       - My Son (half day excursion) The tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and you will make your way to My Son. Once there, you will visit the capital Tra Kieu, the former administrative seat of the Champa Kingdom. You will discover the majestic ruins of My Son. (Minimum number of participants 2 people)


      - Excursion to the hills of Ba Na with visit to the Golden Bridge This morning, you will be picked up by your guide at the hotel and transferred to the hills of Ba Na, about 25 km from Da Nang. The region served as an aerial health resort for the former French colonial rulers, but quickly fell into oblivion after the occupation forces left. Only the construction of an amusement park awakened the region from its slumber, which can only be reached by a cable car that climbs almost 1500 meters in height. At the top you will visit Le Jardin Garden Dโ€™Amour, Luna Castle, Sun Palace and of course the famous Golden Bridge. The 150m long pedestrian bridge, supported on two giant hands, offers a picturesque view of the tropical rainforest of the Ba Na Hills.

      After breakfast, you will drive to the Mekong Delta to Ben Tre and start your boat trip on the Mekong River. You will stop at a small farm to taste delicious local fruits and tea. You will take a rickshaw to a local restaurant for lunch. Continue by small boats on the narrow waterways back to Ben Tre and transfer to Ho Chi Minh City.
