Itinerary

Day 1: LUANG PRABANG – ARRIVAL

Pass By: Luang Prabang Airport, Laos
Welcome to Luang Prabang International Airport!!!

Upon your arrival, you will be met our driver and transfer to hotel for check in and relax after a long haul flight. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 2: LUANG PRABANG – CITY TOUR – PAK OU CAVES

Stop At: Royal Palace Museum, Haw kham Old Quarter, Luang Prabang 0600 Laos
Visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Wat Xiengthong, Khem Khong Old Quarter, Luang Prabang 0600 Laos
Continue to explore some of the major sights in this faboulous city, including the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene, the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, its exterior architecture is remarkable with decorated guilded stuccoes and doorways, a “tree of life” mosaic pattern set in coloured glass on the back wall and its three tiered roofs sweeping low to the ground representing classical Laotian architecture.

Stop At: Pak Ou Caves, Near Pak Ou the Tham Ting Near the Village of Ban Pak Ou - Mekong River, Ban Pak-Ou 0603 Laos
Afternoon we then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine.

Stop At: Ban Phanom Village 10 Min On Tuk-tuk, Luang Prabang 0600 Laos
On return, we take a short drive to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for its silk weavings and for its Saa (jute) Papermaking and Ban Phanom, a small village known for its hand weaving.

Day 3: LUANG PRABANG- KUANG SI WATER FALL

Stop At: Phosi Market, Phothisarath Road, Luang Prabang 0600 Laos
We will visit the morning Phosi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings.

Stop At: Luang Prabang Province, Luang Prabang Province
Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Kuang Si Falls, Luang Prabang 06000 Laos
Then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest trails.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Wat Phra Bat Tai, Chua Phat Tich Section 13 on 24 On the way to Kuang Si Waterfall, Luang Prabang 0600 Laos
We return to the city by late afternoon to observe the sunset at Wat Phabath.

Day 4: LUANG PRABANG – VIENTIANE – CITY TOUR

Stop At: Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang Province
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Vientiane.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Vientiane Province, Vientiane Province
Arrive in Vientiane, you will be picked up and transfer to your hotel.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Wat Si Saket, Lane Xang Avenue, Vientiane, Vientiane 0100 Laos
See the major temples of Vientiane including the oldest, Wat Sisaket, a temple of thousands of miniature Buddha statues.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Wat Ho Phra Keo, Rue Setthathirath, Vientiane 0100 Laos
Continue to the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Great Sacred Stupa (Pha That Luang), That Luang Road, Vientiane 0100 Laos
We also visit Lao national icon, That Luang Stupa.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Patuxay Monument, Ave Lane Xang, Vientiane 0100 Laos
We stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.
Duration: 15 minutes

Day 5: VIENTIANE – HALF DAY CITY TOUR – BUDDHA PARK

Stop At: Wat Ong Teu, Vientiane Laos
We visit the rest of Vientiane by foot, including Wat Ong Tue, Wat Inpeng and Wat Haisok.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Vientiane Organic Market, That Luang, Vientiane Laos
We pass by the major shopping area continuing to the Vientiane Central Market of Talad Sao and Talad Kouadin where various goods are displayed for sale; including fresh food, household goods, souvenirs, textiles, gold, silver and antiques.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge, 13 Vientiane, Vientiane 0100 Laos
We continue our sightseeing tour of Vientiane surrounding; visit the impressive Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge and the Buddha Park, a display of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures created by mystical monk on parkland located by the Mekong River.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Mekong Riverside Park, By the Mekong River, Vientiane 0100 Laos
A view of the Atacular sunset over the Mekong River is perfect way to finish the day.

Day 6: VIENTIANE – PAKSE – WAT PHOU – 4000 ISLAND

Stop At: Vientiane, Vientiane, Vientiane Prefecture
You will be transferred to the airport early this morning for your flight to Pakse.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Pakse, Pakse, Champasak Province
On your arrival in Pakse, meet your guide then leave Pakse and transfer to Champasak District.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Vat Phou complex Temple - World Heritage, Champasak district - Southern laos, 17750 Laos
Visit the ruins of Wat Phou Temple Complex, one of Southeast Asia's most dramatically situated temples. We have time to explore these intriguing Khmer ruins, which are perched at the base of Mount Phu Kao. Wat Phu is one of the Lao World Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in 2001, this wonderful archeological site of Khmer civilization dates back to the 9th century, predating the famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia. A festival of this site is held yearly during the full moon in February and attracts numerous pilgrims from all over southern Laos.

Stop At: Don Khong, Don Khong, Champasak Province
Continue your way to 4000 Islands Region and Khong Island, which is quite relaxing in the day while pretty at night. Rest of the day is in your hands. Being lazy on the beautiful beach might be a good choice.

Day 7: SI PHAN DON (4000 ISLANDS) SURROUNDING

Stop At: Don Khone, Don Khone, Champasak Province
We enjoy a visit to the surrounding countryside, and embark on a long tail boat tour to Don Khone, where we disembark and have the option of exploring the island by bicycle, which takes you to visit the remains of the French period and Liphi Waterfall or "the Corridor of the Devil".
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Khone Phapheng Falls, Don Khong 17750 Laos
We return to the mainland at the fishing village of Ban Nakasang and drive further south to visit Khone Phapheng. Khone Phapheng is considered the largest waterfall by volume in South East Asia; this is a really impressive site near the Lao-Cambodian border, set within an area which is teeming with wildlife, making this area one of the most breathtaking destinations in Laos. We also have the option of taking a local boat out to search for the rare freshwater dolphins that reside in this area of the Mekong (if lucky, we can see the dolphins). Then we drive back to Khong Island for your overnight stay.

Day 8: SI PHAN DON – PAKSE – DEPARTURE

Stop At: Pakse, Pakse, Champasak Province
You will have free time till our guide meets you and escorts you back to Pakse airport for your international flight ongoing to the next destination.
