  • Day 1 Vancouver - Merritt - Kelowna - Okanagan Valley - Vernon - Salmon Arm - Craigellachie

      STOP 1: Merritt. Merritt is a small city in the southern interior. A beautiful and welcoming community, it's home to the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. Here we find a photo stop offering a beautiful, sweeping, panoramic view of the valley. STOP 2: Kelowna. One of the most liveable cities in Canada, Kelowna is the largest city in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Bordering Okanagan Lake, it is well known for its hot summers and temperate winters. STOP 3: Vernon We drive through the beautiful Okanagan Lake Country from Kelowna to Vernon. This is one of the warmest regions in all of Canada during the summer. Visitors are offered countless sandy beaches, hot sun, and a variety of outdoor and water activities. It is also a spectacular backdrop to the golf courses, famous BC wineries, and popular ski resorts. STOP 4: Salmon Arm Salmon Arm has a vibrant downtown area with local shops, restaurants, and cafes, as well as cultural attractions such as art galleries and museums. It is home to several annual festivals and events, including the Roots and Blues Festival, the Salmon Arm Fair, and the Shuswap Trail Alliance's Bike Fest. STOP 4: The Last Spike, Craigellachie. Located in the Eagle Pass through the Monashee Mountains, Craigellachie is known for its historic significance as the location where the "Last Spike" was driven in the completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1885. The Last Spike was a ceremonial golden spike that marked the completion of the transcontinental railway, connecting Canada from coast to coast. Here we settle into a hotel for the night.

      STOP 1: Glacier National Park. Glacier National Park is a beautiful park located in the Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia.  It is known for its stunning glaciers, towering peaks, and dense forests.  Covering over 1,300 square kilometers, the park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including grizzly bears, black bears, moose, and mountain goats. STOP 2: Rogers Pass. Rogers Pass is known for its stunning alpine scenery.  In addition to its natural beauty, Rogers Pass also has a rich history. It was an important route for early explorers and fur traders, and later played a key role in the development of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Today, the pass is a National Historic Site. STOP 3: Banff National Park. Banff National Park is a stunning protected area located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains in the province of Alberta. Established in 1885, it is the oldest national park in Canada and one of the oldest in the world. It covers an area of 2,564 square miles, and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including grizzly bears, wolves, elk, and mountain goats. This Park is known for its breathtaking scenery, snow-capped peaks, turquoise lakes, and ancient glaciers. STOP 4: Lake Louise. Lake Louise is a glacial lake inside Banff National Park. This lake is known for its vibrant blue-green coloration, which comes from rock flour carried in by the melting ice of nearby glaciers. Here we settle into a hotel for the night.

      Stop 1: Bow Falls, Banff. The Bow Falls are a 30-foot-high, 100-foot wide waterfall just outside the city of Banff. The falls are popular with tourists because they are just a short walk from the town and can be reached on foot from most hotels. STOP 2: Banff Gondola. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Banff National Park from an open chair lift or fully enclosed gondola at 6,850 feet of elevation. This offers guests a unique vantage point from which to see Banff's stunning glaciers, mountain peaks, serene springs, and flora and fauna. STOP 3: Banff Avenue. Do a sightseeing tour in the town of Banff. Free time for restaurants, shopping, or just exploring this quaint little Canadian town. Here we settle into a hotel for the night.
