  • Day 2 Day 2: Urumqi To Turpan By Car

      Day 2: Urumqi To Turpan By Car

      Today you will take 3-hour car ride to Turpan, which used to be a hub on the ancient Silk Road in the past.  You will visit the ancient city of Jiaohe, the Karez Irrigation System, and Emin Minaret . It is wonderful to learn the history and view the attractions in Turpan. 

      Meals: Breakfast and lunch

  • Day 3 Day 3: Turpan To Urumqi By Car

      Day 3: Turpan To Urumqi By Car

      After hotel breakfast, you will visit the ancient city of Gaochang, Bezklik Grottoes, Astana Ancient Tombs etc.

      After lunch, you will take the car back to Urumqi. Time permits, you will explore Erdaoqiao Bazaar which is a wonderful place to view all sorts of products.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Urumqi To Heavenly Lake, Then Back To Urumqi By Car

      Day 4: Urumqi To Heavenly Lake, Then Back To Urumqi By Car

      Today you will take 1-hour car ride to Heavenly Lake. It is high mountain lake in the Tianshan Mountains, and inscribed on the world heritage by UNESCO. The lake looks like a crystal mirror to reflect the snow-capped mountains. 

      Then you will get back to Urumqi to visit the Xinjiang Museum(close on Mondays) which is renowned for the mummies in the morning.
