      Tuxtla Gutiรฉrrez - Sumidero Canyon - San Cristรณbal De Las Casas

      We will welcome you in Tuxtla Gutierrez to begin this amazing adventure. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the pier of the Grijalva River to navigate and witness the geological wonder that gives its name to the Sumidero Canyon, while observing a great diversity of flora and fauna. Upon finishing, you will head to the Colonial City of San Cristobal de Las Casas (2,300 meters above sea level), founded in 1528 by Captain Diego de Mazariegos. Upon arrival, you can check in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Accommodation.

      In the morning, you will depart from San Cristobal de Las Casas to visit the stunning Lakes of Montebello. Your first stop will be at the indigenous pottery community of Amatenango del Valle. Then, youโ€™ll head to the Chiflรณn waterfall, a natural waterfall surrounded by lush vegetation consisting of sugarcane fields and palm trees. Finally, youโ€™ll visit the most beautiful lake area in Mexico: the Montebello Lakes. The natural reserve bearing this name consists of several hectares of pine, oak, and jungle, where youโ€™ll be able to see several lakes and, weather permitting, admire the different shades of water that make up this beautiful place. Youโ€™ll return to San Cristobal de Las Casas in the evening. Accommodation.

      San Cristรณbal De Las Casas - Indigenous Communities - City Tour

      After breakfast, you will depart towards the Indigenous Communities of the Tzotzil ethnic group; first visiting Chamula, to learn and understand the fusion of contemporary traditions and ancestral Mayan characteristics that identify this place. Later, we will continue to Zinacantรกn, where you will visit the church and the home of a family cooperative, where you will be received with a regional drink and observe how women work the waist loom of Pre-Columbian times. After seeing samples of what they produce, they will offer you to come to their kitchen, where if youโ€™re lucky, theyโ€™ll invite you to try handmade tortillas. Upon completion, you will return to San Cristรณbal de Las Casas and take a City Tour of this beautiful city. The rest of the day is free. Accommodation.

      Early in the morning, you will depart to Palenque, stopping at Agua Azul, a set of waterfalls created by the currents of the Otulรบn, Shumuljรก, and Tulijรก rivers, forming not very deep canyons with vertical cliffs, where we can enjoy the different areas and admire the impressive blue color water. Afterwards, you will continue to the Misol-Ha waterfalls, which with its 30 meters in height and surrounded by high tropical jungle, make this a beautiful place. Afterward, you will visit the Palenque archaeological site. This Mayan city stands out for its architectural and sculptural heritage; you will be able to admire several constructions: The Palace, The Temple of the Foliated Cross, The Temple of the Sun, and others. We will transfer you to the hotel in the city of Palenque. Accommodation.

      Early in the morning, you will depart towards Frontera Corozal, where you will embark on a one-hour journey downstream to visit the mystical archaeological site of Yaxchilan, a place renowned for the number of sculptures found within. Upon returning, you will continue with the visit to Bonampak. Its name means "Painted Walls," and therein lies the fame of this site, as the walls of the enclosures are adorned with the best-preserved paintings of the Maya World. Afterwards, you will return to Palenque. Accommodation.

  • Day 6 Palenque - La Venta Museum - Villahermosa Airport

      After breakfast, you will depart for the city of Villahermosa, where you will visit "La Venta" museum, which holds one of the largest collections of pieces belonging to the Olmec culture; all classified into 4 groups: altars, stelae, free-standing sculptures, and the impressive colossal heads. Afterwards, we will transfer you to the Villahermosa Airport for your return home.
