Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tunis and transfer to Sousse (140KM)

Stop At: Sousse, Sousse, Sousse Governorate
At the airport, you will be greeted by our representative or our driver who will assist you with any procedure and your transfer to your hotel in Sousse. Spend the rest of the day at leisure then you will have dinner, and later enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2: Sousse - El Jem - Matmata - Camp Mars (350KM)

Stop At: Amphitheatre of El Jem, El-Jem Tunisia
After an early morning breakfast at the hotel, your driver will pick you up to start the journey by going to the city of El Jem to explore the impressive ruins of the largest colosseum in North Africa. A huge amphitheater which could hold up to 35,000 spectators. You will also visit the museum of El Jem which illustrates the grandeur and extent of imperial Rome.

Stop At: Matmata, Matmata, Gabes Governorate
you will visit the Berber city of Matmata in Southern Tunisia. It is famous for its underground houses and cave dwellers which are cool in summer and comfortably warm in winter. Another thing Matmata is famous for, the Star Wars film sets. Four of the Star Wars movies were partially filmed in Southern Tunisia. (The planet Tatooine in the movies). You can stay in Luke Skywalker’s home (now a hotel) and wander around the desert bumping into moisture Vaporators and other Star Wars stuff.

Stop At: Tembaine, Tunisia
You will continue the journey towards Camp Mars which is a magical small camp and a natural gateway to one of the Sahara Desert's most impressive dune seas. You can explore Camp Mars on camel. Later, you will spend the night in one of the Bedouin camps. Have dinner and sleep in a traditional tent.

Day 3: Camp Mars - Douz - Tozeur (280KM)

Stop At: Douz, Douz, Kebili Governorate
After breakfast, you will leave Camp Mars for Douz where people are naturally open and friendly. Douz is a place where dunes and palm trees cover the golden vastness of the desert.
Duration: 6 hours

Stop At: Tozeur, Tozeur, Tozeur Governorate
then you will continue to Tozeur by crossing Chott El Djerid which is the largest salt lake on the African continent. Chott el Djerid is over 1.5 times larger than the Great Salt Lake of Utah. When you arrive in Tozeur, it’s easy to spend the afternoon occupied by the labyrinths of the old city (Medina).

Day 4: Tozeur - The Mountain Oasis - Nefta (200KM)

Stop At: Tamerza Canyon, Tozeur 2200 Tunisia
After breakfast, you will get in a 4x4 for an off-road adventure. You will arrive at Oung Djemel which is one of the Star Wars movie sets. After that, you will stop at the large Mountain Oasis of Chebika and Tamerza which contains beautiful canyons with palm trees and a waterfall. Then, you will return to Tozeur for lunch.

Stop At: Nefta, Nefta, Tozeur Governorate
After resting, you will spend your afternoon discovering the city of Nefta, its oasis and its important religious sites.

Day 5: Tozeur - Kairouan - Hammamet (380KM)

Stop At: Kairouan, Kairouan, Kairouan Governorate
After breakfast, you will leave for the Fourth holiest city of Islam (after Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem), Kairouan. It has the oldest mosque in Africa, The Great Mosque. Kairouan is also a major shopping destination. inside its colorful souks, you will find mesmerizing carpets and souvenirs.

Stop At: Hammamet, Hammamet, Nabeul Governorate
you will have lunch in Kairouan then you will continue to the city of Hammamet which is a coastal city where you will visit the Medieval Medina surrounded by the sea. You will be surrounded by oranges, lemons and other citrus trees all the time. After that, you can choose to have a relaxing dinner and overnight at your hotel, or go party in one of Hammamet’s nightclubs.

Day 6: Hammamet - Tunis and its surroundings (68KM)

Stop At: The National Bardo Museum, P7, Tunis Tunisia
After breakfast, the driver will pick you up to go to the city of Tunis to visit the National Museum of Bardo, which is one of the most important museums in the mediterranean region and the second largest museum of the African continent. It traces the history of Tunisia over several millennias and across several civilizations through a wide variety of archaeological pieces.

Stop At: Medina of Tunis, Tunis Tunisia
Then you will go discover the Medina of Tunis with its maze of ancient streets and alleyways. It is one of the most impressive medieval medinas in North Africa and one of Tunisia's great treasures. While in Souks, you can find many small souvenirs for your loved ones. You will also have lunch there.

Stop At: Carthage, Carthage, Tunis Governorate
In the afternoon, you will visit the archaeological site of Carthage which was founded on the Gulf of Tunis. From the 6th century onwards, it developed into a great trading empire covering much of the Mediterranean and was home to a brilliant civilization. In the course of the long punic wars, Carthage occupied territories belonging to Rome, which finally destroyed its rivals in 146 B.C.

After that, you’ll go to the breathtaking village of Sidi Bou Said. Located just north of Tunis, the entire town is located on a steep cliff that overlooks the mediterranean sea. The view from Sidi Bou Said is absolutely phenomenal.
