Day 1: Tunis: Arrival

Pass By: Tunis, Tunis, Tunis Governorate
Arrival of the guests to Tunis airport, reception and transfert to the hôtel, accomodation and dinner.

Day 2: Tunis - Kairouan - Tozeur (430 km)

Stop At: Kairouan, Kairouan, Kairouan Governorate
Early in the morning departure to Kairouan, the first islamic city in north Africa and the departure of all the conquest compaigns of North Africa. This place is also considered as the forth Holy City by Tunisians after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem.
Guided tour of the Mosque "Okba Ibn Nafaa", the oldest mosque of Africa, which also played the role of school and political center during Aghlabids dynasty.
Other attractions are included in the visits such as the Mosque of the Barber and the Aghlabids Bassins.
Lunch in Kairouan
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Tozeur, Tozeur, Tozeur Governorate
Arrival in the end of afternoon to Tozeur. Guided visit in the old medina with its magnificient architecture assorted to the sand color and the famous oasis.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 3: Half-Day Tozeur & Sahara Tour - Douz - Matmata (360 km)

Stop At: Chebika, Tunisia
After breakfast, departure with Jeeps to Ong Djemel desert site where was turned the famous film Star Wars (Mos Espa scenes) and progression to the oasis of Chebika and Tamarza, shielded by the Atlas Mountains Chain. These villages have existed from the Roman times, but Berbers (locals) have since been using them to control the commercial traffic coming from and to the desert. We will have a walk through the oasis all the way to the water falls which irrigate the whole valley.

Stop At: Chott El Jerid, Entre Tozeur y Blidet, Tozeur 2200 Tunisia
Continuation to Douz "The Desert Gates", passing through Chott El Djerid, considered the largest Salt Lake in the world. We will have several stops on the lake to take photos and enjoy the unique landscape.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Douz, Douz, Kebili Governorate
Arrival to Douz, a unique Sahara city. It is known that shepherds are the original inhabitant of Douz, and their name are Mrazig, coming mainly from the Tripolitan land in the XII century.
Lunch in Douz.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Matmata, Matmata, Gabes Governorate
Continuation to Matmata, visit of a troglodytic dwelling excavated in the friable soil. It is indeed an austere place, but it offers a unique landscape that was also used for scenes shooting for Star Wars.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Matmata - El Jem - Sousse

Stop At: Matmata, Matmata, Gabes Governorate
After breakfast, we will kickstart the day by visiting the troglodyte house that was used as a shooting decore for "Star Wars", which is now also a hotel.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Amphitheatre of El Jem, El-Jem Tunisia
Departure to El Jem, the ancient Roman "Thydrus" city. It was one of the richest cities of Roman Africa, that dates back to the third century AD, and housing the third largest Roman amphitheater in the world, and the largest one in Africa.
Visit the amphitheater and El Jem National Museum, housing hundreds of ancient Mosaic art pieces, alongside a fully reconstructed Roman Villa.
Lunch at El Jem, while enjoying the view of the amphitheatre.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Sousse, Sousse, Sousse Governorate
After lunch, we will continue to Sousse, visit the old medina and the Touristic Port of El Kantaoui.
Free time at the Port.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 5: Sousse - Tunis & Half-Day in Tunis

Stop At: The National Bardo Museum, P7, Tunis Tunisia
After breakfast, departure for the visit of the National Museum of Bardo, which shelters the most beautiful collections of ancient mosaics and ceramics of the Mediterranean Basin.
This is THE place to be, to understand the whole rich and diverse history of Tunisia and its people.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Medina of Tunis, Tunis Tunisia
After Bardo, we will visit the ancient Medina of Tunis, with its eternal animated narrow streets and its souks (markets), and the famous streets covered with vaults of bricks.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Carthage, Carthage, Tunis Governorate
Lunch and then guided tour of the archaeological site of Carthage, the ancient capital of an empire whose fleet was sailing up to the confines of the world.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Sidi Bou Said, Sidi Bou Said, Tunis Governorate
Next to Carthage is Sidi Bou Said, a very charming place full of a wonderful sweetness.
Free walk to the small village with Andalusian architecture.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
