Meals whilst you are in Kathmandu - lunch, and dinner. Nepal entry visa fee (easy to obtain the visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport โ€“ Kathmandu). $25 USD for 15-day visa. Your personal expenses. All the alcoholic and nonalcoholic cold and hot drinks on trek ( i.e. those you choose to purchase along the way and during evenings in the tea houses) All desserts & sweet things like chocolate, cake, pie, pudding. Hot shower and battery charging at the tea houses. Tips for the guide, porter, and driver (tipping is expected)

  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrive At Kathmandu And Transfer To Hotel.

      On arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be met by a representative from Sherpa Expedition & Trekking and taken to your 3-star hotels in Thamel. You can rest at your hotel or wander around Thamel and do some last-minute shopping and take in the sights. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Drive From Kathmandu To Arughat (6,00M) 6-7 Hours.

      Today our journey begins with a 6 to 7-hour road trip from Kathmandu to Gorkha by bus or car with a stop for lunch along the way. We will stay overnight at Arughat.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Trek To Sotikhola (7,10M) 4-5 Hours.

      This morning we head out on a trail from Arughat to Soti Khola. Prior to the earthquake of 2015, you could take a bus to Soti Khola, and depending on road conditions may still be possible. Tonight we will stay in Soti Khola.

      The trek today follows a mule track and climbs up some hazardous steps blasted into a cliff face, before heading down to Lapubesi (880m) and to Nauli Khola where we cross the suspension bridge. We continue on this trail following the Buri Gandaki River to Machha Khola (900m), where many trekkers were rescued after the 25 April earthquake in 2015.

      Today we have a 6 to 7-hour trek along the banks of the river to Khorla Besi and to the therapeutic hot springs at Tatopani (930m). From Tatopani, we follow the trail along the east bank of the Buri Gandaki to reach Doban, Thulo Dunga, and Yara Bagar (1370m). The trail repeatedly crosses back and forth over the river on suspension bridges before entering the entrance to the Manaslu Conservation Area and finally Jagat (1410m). At this point, the office will check our area trekking permits.

      This morning we begin with a climb over a ridge to Salleri and then descend to Sirdibas and then on to Ghatta Khola. We will then climb up to the Gurung village of Philim which were Japanese NGOs have constructed a school and police station. We continue through a forest until we eventually arrive at Chisapani where we stay the night.

      After passing through the small village of Ekle Bhatti we cross the gorge passing a waterfall before heading down to the Tsum Valley. The trail takes us through a rhododendron forest and then we head to Lokpa Pass where we have stunning views of Mt. Himalchuli (7893m) and the Boudha Himal. We then descend to Lungwa Khola before reaching Gumlung after which we cross the Siyar Khola until arriving at Chumling where we will visit the Chumling Gompa. We stay the night at Chumling. 

  • Day 8 Day 8: Trek To Chokhangparo (3010 M ) 4-5 Hours.

      This morning we begin by crossing a suspension bridge where we have remarkable views of the Ganesh Himal. The trail then takes us past Rainjam and across Seru Khola before arriving at Gho Village. We continue on until we reach Chokhangparo from where we have views of Himalchuli (7893m) and Ganesh Himal (7140m). We will stay here overnight.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Trek To Nile (3361M) 5-6 Hours.

      Today we follow the trail for about 5 to 6 hours until we arrive at Rachen Gompa (monastery) and then to the Shir Khola (river). Leaving the river we pass by Phurbe and Pangdun villages before coming to Nile where we stay the night.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Trek To Mu Gompa (3700 M) 3-4 Hours.

      The trail today takes us through the valley and very close to the Tibetan border. We continue along the trail and climb up to the Dhephu Doma Gompa (monastery) and on to todayโ€™s destination Mu Gompa where we stay overnight.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Hike Up To Ganesh Himal Base Camp (4200M) & Back To Mu Gomba 6-7 Hours.

      After breakfast we head to Ganesh Himal Base Camp and get some of the finest views of Ganesh Himal and then head back to Mu Gompa for the night.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Trek To Chumling (2386M) 5-6 Hours.

      Today we trek for 5 to 6 hours through a greener countryside and descend to Chumling along the lower Tsum Valley. Tonight we will stay at Chumling.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Trek To Philim (1570M) 6-7 Hours.

      The trial today takes us to Lokpa and passes the beautiful Samba Falls. After 6 to 7 hours we reach todayโ€™s destination Philim Village where we will stay overnight. 

  • Day 14 Day 14: Trek To Soti Khola (700 M) 7-8 Hours.

      Today we follow the trail along the ridge to the Budhi Gandaki River and then to Labubesi until we arrive at Soti Khola where we stay overnight.

  • Day 15 Day 15: Drive From Sotikhola To Kathmandu (1,450M) 7-8 Hours.

      Our final day on the trail descends past another spectacular waterfall and on to Arkhet Khola which is the end of the Budhi Gandaki Valley. Along the trail, we pass through the villages of Sante Bazaar and Malta. The last section of our trek takes us past the hydroelectric power plant and then we arrive at Arughat where we will rest for a while before taking the bus back to Kathmandu โ€“ a 3-hour road trip. Tonight we stay in a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.

      Your adventure in Nepal ends today and a representative from Sherpa Expedition and Trekking will take you to the airport, approximately 3 hours before your flight. On your way home you may already be planning your next adventure into the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal.
