Guide

One highly experienced, helpful and friendly guide, porters (1 porter for 2 people) and their food, accommodation, salary, equipment, and accidental insurance for all staff.

  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrive At Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu

      Day 1: Arrive At Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu

      You may arrive at the airport at any time. One of Escape Himalayaโ€™s representatives will be there waiting for you and will greet you upon your arrival. You will then be transferred to your hotel and further plans and programs of the trek will be explained to you. As there are no further planned activities for the day, you may relax at the hotel for the remainder of time. Overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Fly From Kathmandu To Lukla And Trek To Phakding, Duration: 3 Hours
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Fly From Kathmandu To Lukla And Trek To Phakding, Duration: 3 Hours

      In the early morning today, you will take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. It is a short 35 minute flight and presents wonderful views of the terrains and mountains below. The airfield is at a high elevation and the difference between the two ends of the runway at the Lukla airport is an exceptional 60 meters only! Once at Lukla, you will then trek to Phakding, walking on a trail that is filled with beautiful green landscape and the view of the Kusum Kangraru Peak. The โ€œKusum Kangraruโ€ means โ€œThree Snow white-Godsโ€ in the Sherpa language, which refers to the triple summit of the mountain. With an altitude of 6,367 meters, the mountain is classified as a trekking peak but is considered as one of the most difficult peaks to climb. Overnight stay at the guesthouse at Phakding, Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Phakding To Namche Bazaar, Duration: 7 Hours

      Day 3: Phakding To Namche Bazaar, Duration: 7 Hours

      Following the Dudh Koshi River, you would be ascending through Himalayan pine and cedar forests to reach the village of Namche Bazaar today. The village of Namche is an important hub of the Khumbu region and you would be able to view amazing sights of the mountain peaks like Everest, Thamserku and Nuptse among many others. Namche Bazaar used to be an important rendezvous point in ancient times where Nepali and Tibetan traders used to exchange salt, dried meats and textiles. The trekking trail is full of amazing sights and woodlands, verdant forests and ebullient rivers and small rivulets. Overnight stay at the guesthouse, Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
