      Have the transfer from Bogota's El Dorado International Airport (BOG) to the hotel where you will spend the first night of this experience. 

      Check-in at the hotel and according to your flight arrival time you have free time to start exploring Bogota at your own pace and on your own.

      Start the day with a delicious breakfast and then take a walking tour through the interesting city of Bogota.

      During the walking tour you will be amazed by the history of the city, which was populated by indigenous groups that migrated from Mesoamerica.

      See the historic center, known as La Candelaria, where you find churches, the Plaza Bolivar and the Palacio del Estado.

      Continue with the visit to the Gold Museum, where you find the exhibition of more than 30,000 pieces of gold, most of the jewelry of the pre-Columbian indigenous cultures, you can also see works in ceramics, textiles, and stones.

      Learn about the history behind the cathedral and the mine with a small but very complete documentary.

      Today you visit Piedra del Peñol, undoubtedly one of the most spectacular destinations surrounding Medellín. 

      Piedra del Peñol is a 200-meter high monolith, located in Guatapé, a municipality that you reach after almost two hours by road. The town of Guatapé is famous for its church and colorful paintings that decorate the houses.

      You can climb a 740-step staircase to appreciate a fascinating view of green mountains and blue lakes. 

      During this day's excursion, you take a scenic drive through the Eastern Highlands of Antioquia. You enjoy a delicious typical Colombian lunch on the shore of the Guatapé reservoir. 

      If you wish, you can take some time to stroll and relax.

      Return to Medellín for your flight to Cartagena.

      Start the day with breakfast and transfer to the Convent of Santa Cruz de La Popa, an incredible destination located at the highest point of Cartagena from which you can have the best views of the city.

      After seeing and enjoying the scenery from the viewpoint of the convent, you head to the Fort of San Felipe Barajas, built in colonial times by the Spaniards.

      Visit the entire fortress, including some of the tunnels located inside, as well as the statue of Don Blas de Lezo.4 

      Return to Cartagena and visit several points of interest such as the official entrance to the walled city with the clock tower. Behind it, you find the Monument to Don Pedro de Heredia, the founder of Cartagena de Indias since 1533, during the tour the guide shares stories of legends and pirates.

      Note: If there is no possibility to visit the convent of La Popa it will be replaced by the sanctuary of San Pedro Claver.

      After breakfast, you get ready to spend a day of rest and fun in the Rosario Islands, located about 40 km southwest of Cartagena. 

      Arrive at the islands by boat after almost an hour, enjoy its beautiful scenery, clear waters, gentle breezes, and marine life such as dolphins. 

      Today, the entire surrounding area, including the Baru Islands and the San Bernardo Islands, are officially protected sites. 

      Take an excursion on Majagua Island where you have enough time to explore the beautiful nature and relax on the beach. 

      Have a delicious typical lunch and in the afternoon you return to Cartagena.
