Day 1: Jackson Hole

Pass By: Jackson Hole Playhouse, 145 W Deloney Ave, Jackson, WY 83001-8718
Arrive in Jackson, Wyoming

Welcome to the West. Your guide will pick you up starting at 7:00 am and depart on your adventures. Be greeted by one of your Horizon Guides at Jackson Hole Airport if you are flying into this airport. Your driver helps you with your luggage and then drives you through the beautiful countryside to Jackson. Get settled as your second Horizon Guide checks you in.

Enjoy the scenic town of Jackson. Known as the "Gateway to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks," this town Has many exciting shops and activities for everyone in your family. Do some family shopping in Jackson for authentic cowboy gear.

Browse at designer boutiques and shops containing fine Western art and homemade items. Then, choose from an excellent assortment of restaurants.

Welcome Dinner: Meet the other families who will share your adventure. You will be given a hardy meal as you go through the chow line, in fact, when you reach the end you will be wondering how you are going to eat it all. To follow the tradition of all wagon trains, the Bar T 5 Band begins to play. They will entertain you with harmony and great western music just like it was shared at night around the campfire in the old west.

Day 2: Grand Tetons

Wake up and drive you to Jackson where you will be exploring Grand Tetons, National Park. This national park was first set up as a National Monument by the labors of the Rockefellers and other philanthropists. Originally home to trappers, traders, and Mormon homesteaders, today it. Is one of the most breathtaking and well-known parks in the US. You will start the day going to the park and seeing the sunrise on the lake. This area offers the opportunity to get fantastic photos of the Tetons along with the chance to see moose and beavers. Short walks are available along this waterway, and then we are off to Jenny Lake for a boat ride and a hike to Hidden Falls and if you are interested, Inspiration Point Once finished, you will return across the lake and head to Signal Mountain to enjoy stunning vistas of the Grand Teton with reflections off Jackson Lake and Spalding Bay. After you can to enjoy historical Jackson, WY. Hereโ€™s your inside line for the Bar T 5. You will be checking in, given a short introduction then loaded into horse-drawn covered wagons. With a team of horses hooked up your wrangler will guide you up Cache Creek Canyon. Traveling along you will encounter a friendly mountain man, Buckskin who will help you watch out for any trouble along the trail. Day 3: Yellowstone Lower Loop Excursion

This morning you will travel through Grand Tetons National Park up to Yellowstone National Park, which is Americaโ€™s First National Park, established in 1872. Among its many treasures are the famous Old Faithful Geyser and inspiring Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.
It's easy to spend a week touring Yellowstone, and if you did, you'd never see all the features that make the world's first national park. Approximately 70 percent of the famous features lie along the lower loop of the Figure 8 road system in the Park, and the best way to spend one day taking everything you can on this route is on the Fire Circle. This is the senior (and signature!) tour of the Park, offered more than any other for decades. Your driver-guide will pack the day full of all Yellowstone he or she can, including showing you Old Faithful Geyser, Yellowstone Lake, Hayden Valley (with wildlife stops available), the Upper and Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and the Fountain Paint Pot Nature Trail (where you can see all four types of thermal features of Yellowstone). Ride the Circle of Fire for Yellowstone's classic tour!

Along with visiting the Old Faithful Geyser Basin, you will visit Black Sand Basin, Midway Geyser Basin, and others on your way to where you will lodge for the night. Take an excursion on the Lower Loop of Yellowstone National Park and see what captured the imagination of artists and adventurers alike. Discover the parkโ€™s most remarkable thermal features and iconic sites including Old Faithful! Explore magical places like Hayden Valley, Artist Point, the Upper and Lower Waterfalls and Lake Yellowstone. Fountain Paint Pot Trail. The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone Hike Is awestruck by this spectacular canyon, featuring breathtaking waterfalls and beautiful multi-colored walls created by mineral stains. Hike around this 4,000-foot-wide (1219.2 meters) canyon and marvel at its majesty! Take a privately guided tour of Yellowstone National Park's thermal phenomena on Fountain Paint Pot Trail. Be awestruck by the beauty of blue pools, pink mud pots, mini-geysers and steam vents, which are also known as fumaroles.

Day 4: Yellowstone Lower Loop Day 2

The park is also known for its world-class fly fishing, active geological
features, and abundance of large mammals. This natural wonder will be your classroom for the day as you explore its many waterfalls, geyser basins, and other unique geological features. Some of the first stops will include viewpoints along West Thumb Geyser Basin and Yellowstone Lake. Afterward, you will visit Old Faithful for lunch at the Historic Old Faithful Lodge dining room before witnessing Old Faithful erupt. After exploring this Geyser Basinโ€™s thermal features, you will make a short drive to the volcanic caldera rim to Fire-hole Falls Then to Madison Junction.
You think Yellowstone Lake is beautiful from the shoreline, and youโ€™ll love being out on it. This is subject to change on availability and tome of year.

Day 5: Yellowstone Upper Loop

Pass By: Yellowstone National Park, WY
This geological area has some fantastic formations to view along multiple boardwalks and scenic drives. It is also the original military fort where the US Army was stationed and managed the park in its infancy. After visiting this area, you will travel along the western side of the park to Gibson Falls and Norris Geyser Basin. Then we are off to Virginia Cascades Once finished, and you will continue Still following a regular schedule, to canyon junction. We then Travel to Yellowstone Falls and a few hikes/walks (see item 1) to various viewpoints along and below the rim of the Grand Canyon. After the Falls we are off to Hayden Valley for the opportunity to view some of the diverse wildlife that visits this area.

You will have the possibility of sighting wolves, bears, elk, deer, coyote, and bison โ€” afterward, a drive to a unique area known in Yellowstone at Mammoth Hot Springs. Then we will travel to canyon junction to enjoy lunch in the village before going on toward Tower Falls and Lamar Valley. These areas are also great spots for viewing wildlife within the park. This area also has some unique geological formations that are remnants of previous volcanic eruptions. Wraith Falls and the Petrified Logs are also options for us to visit. Our final stop will be a photo of the group at Roosevelt Arch, the official northern entrance to the park Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center.

Hayden Valley Ride through Hayden Valley by motor coach and know youโ€™re in a wildlife paradise! This is home to elk and grizzly bears and where the most significant number of free-roaming bison in the world live. Keep your eyes openโ€”thereโ€™s a chance youโ€™ll see some animals grazing on the vast grassy plains that surround you!

We will have lunch or dinner by stagecoach or horseback on this day โ€” seasonal option.

Day 6: Yellowstone Upper Loop

For the first part of the morning, you will be on the river. Day 10: Devil's Tower

Pass By: Devil's Tower National Monument Visitor Center, Devils Tower, WY
Devils Tower Tour Breakfast is at Bubbaโ€™s (wait until you see the size of the biscuits and pancakes) we then drive over the Big Horn Mountains and have lunch in Sheridan WY. We will see many sites along the way to Devilโ€™s Tower. Devilโ€™s Tower was named Americaโ€™s first National Monument. We arrive in Deadwood City late afternoon for check-in at hotel, dinner, and gambling if you are so inclined.

Day 11: Mount Rushmore

After lunch in Deadwood, we travel through the beautiful hills, of Black Hills South Dakota and make an extensive tour of famous Mt Rushmore. We visit the Crazy Horse Memorial. Lodging and dinner will be in Hill City, South Dakota

Day 12: Badlands National Park

Badlands tour We take a morning tour of the Badlands located near the Sioux Indian Reservation and then visit famous Wall Drugs for lunch and shopping. You can go to Rapid City for departures from the airport if you wish. The rest of us will head for Salt Lake City. From that point, we will lead for Casper, Wyoming (4 hours away) for lodging.
