Arrival And Transfer To Murchison Falls

In the morning you will proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. In northwest Uganda, the park sits on the shore of Lake Albert. The Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop at Murchison Falls. En route, you will already have your first tour stop. Join the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola for the game walk with an experienced Ranger guide to see rhinos, the first animal on your list of the Big Five.

Our recommendation is to arrive the day before so that you can do some sightseeing in Kampala and Entebbe before transferring to Murchison Falls National Park. We are happy to assist with any planning.

Morning Game Drive In Murchison Falls National Park And Afternoon Boat Cruiseto The Murchison Falls

After early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide for an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. The best time to spot wild animals. You will encounter different species of animals such as giraffes, lions, elephants, Uganda Kobs among others. On top, you will be treated with beautiful sights of the Albert delta, and various bird species.

After lunch, you will go for a boat trip to explore the parkโ€™s main attraction - Murchison Falls along the striking Victoria Nile, with its impressive schools of hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife, including herons, cormorants, ducks, bee-eaters, fish eagles, kingfishers and sometimes even the rare shoebill stork.

Ugandaโ€™s Murchison Falls, or Kabalega Falls, is located between Lake Kyoga and Lake Albert. A gap in the rocks only 7 m wide allows the Nile to pass through and tumble 43 m before entering Lake Albert at the top of Murchison Falls.

Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking And Boat Cruise

Drive to Kibale National Park in the morning for a chimpanzee tracking experience. Observe the manโ€™s closest relatives in the wild and watch them as they play, swing on tree branches, and fight for food. Africaโ€™s Kibale National Forest has one of the highest concentrations and diversity of primates.

This region is home to a large population of endangered chimpanzees, the red colobus monkey (endangered), and the rare Lโ€™Hoestโ€™s monkey (vulnerable), making it an excellent location for chimpanzee tracking safaris. In the afternoon, you will take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a wide, 32-kilometer-long natural channel that links Lake Edward and Lake George, and is a dominant feature of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The channel attracts a varied range of animals and birds, with one of the worldโ€™s largest concentrations of hippos and numerous Nile crocodiles. At a lucky moment, some animals will be found drinking water, taking a bath, or even hunting.

You will spend one full hour observing these magnificent animals in their natural habitat. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will put a smile on your face for the rest of the tour.
