Day 3: DSCHANG-BAMENDA-BAFUT-BAMENDA

Day 5: KOUTABA-FOUMBAN-BAFOUSSAM-BANDJOUN

Morning wake, breakfast. Departure to visit the PALACE and the MUSEUM of the Sultan of Foumban: headquarters of the Bamoun Sultanate, handicraft headquarters of the West Region, having two museums and one palace. Foumban is one of the first tourist sites of the country. Allow yourself be carried away by a string of kids in this town, whose history dates back to the XVII century; the palace of the Sultans, a unique building: very strange.

The sultan’s museum contains thrones, trophies, arms, statues…which belong to the ancestors of the present sultan. The museum of arts and traditions is one of the best in the country with a rich collection of art work.

On the handicraft street you will see wood sculptors, foundry workers and blacksmiths at work.
