  • Day 1 Moshi - Lemosho Gate - Big Tree Camp

      Moshi - Lemosho Gate - Big Tree Camp

      Your adventure begins at the Lemosho Gate, the starting point for the Lemosho route on Kilimanjaro. After registering with the park authorities, youโ€™ll begin your ascent through the lush rainforest.

      The hike is relatively easy and takes you through beautiful vegetation with the chance to spot wildlife like blue monkeys. Youโ€™ll hike for approximately 4-5 hours, covering a distance of about 7-8 kilometers (4-5 miles). Reach the Big Tree Camp, where youโ€™ll set up your camp for the night. Itโ€™s situated at an elevation of around 2,780 meters (9,121 feet).

  • Day 2 Big Tree Camp - Shira 1 Camp

      As you move further along the Shira Plateau, youโ€™ll be treated to panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

      Reach Shira 2 Camp, which is at an even higher elevation.

      This dayโ€™s hike can take around 4-6 hours, covering a distance of about 8-10 kilometers (5-6 miles).

      Shira 2 Camp sits at an altitude of approximately 3,810 meters (12,500 feet).

  • Day 3 Shira Camp 2 To Barranco Camp

      Shira Camp 2 To Barranco Camp

      On this third day, you will from the Shira Plateau continue to the east up a ridge, passing the junction towards the peak of Kibo. As we continue, our direction changes to the southeast towards the Lava Tower, called the โ€œSharkโ€™s Toothโ€ (elev 4650m/15,250ft). Shortly after the tower, we come to the second junction which goes to the Arrow Glacier. You now continue down to the Barranco Camp. Although you end the day around the same elevation as when you began, this day is very important for acclimatization and will help your body prepare for summit day.

      Todayโ€™s journey takes you across the alpine desert zone, offering a unique and stark landscape.

      Youโ€™ll descend into the Barranco Valley before reaching Barranco Camp.

      The hike is quite challenging and can take around 5-7 hours, covering a distance of approximately 10-12 kilometers (6-7 miles).

      Barranco Camp is situated at an altitude of about 3,960 meters (13,000 feet).

      Firth day of 7 Days Lemosho Route Climbing, you continue up to the Barafu Camp. You have completed the South Circuit, which offers views of the summit from many different angles. Here at the camp, rest, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the summit day.

  • Day 6 Summit Uhuru Peak And Down To Mweka

      Summit Uhuru Peak And Down To Mweka

      sixth day of 7 Days Lemosho Route Climbing, Very early in the morning (midnight to 2 am), we continue our way to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. You head in a northwesterly direction and ascend through heavy scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek. At Stella Point you will stop for a short rest and will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see. Faster hikers may view the sunrise from the summit.

      From Stella Point, you may encounter snow all the way on your 1-hour ascent to the summit. Once at Uhuru Peak you have reached the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa!

      From the summit we begin our descent by continuing straight down to the Mweka Camp, stopping at Barafu for lunch. You may want gaiters and trekking poles for the loose gravel going down. We arrive at Mweka Camp and enjoy our last evening on the mountain.

      Distance: 5km/3mi up / 13km/8mi down

      Hiking Time: 5-7 hours up / 5-6 hours down

  • Day 7 Mweka Gate To Moshi
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Mweka Gate To Moshi

      After breakfast, we continue the descent down to the Mweka Park Gate to receive your summit certificates. At lower elevations, it can be wet and muddy. Gaiters and trekking poles will help. Shorts and T-shirts will probably be plenty to wear (keep rain gear and warmer clothing handy).

      From the gate, continue another hour to Mweka Village. A vehicle will meet you at Mweka village to drive you back to your hotel in Moshi (about 30 minutes). Donโ€™t forget to tip your guides and porters.

      => This day you can be transferred to your hotel overnight (to be transferred to the airport the next day) or transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for departure or we can arrange for other adventures in Tanzania!

  • Day 8 Tarangire National Park

      Tarangire National Park

      Your safari adventure begins as you leave Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park.

      Tarangire is known for its large population of elephants, as well as other wildlife like lions, leopards, and various bird species.

      Youโ€™ll enjoy game drives in the park, exploring the diverse landscapes and spotting fascinating wildlife.

      Spend the night in the park, either at a lodge or campsite.

  • Day 9 Serengeti National Park

      Continue your safari adventure by heading to the iconic Serengeti National Park, one of Africaโ€™s premier wildlife destinations.

      Over these two days, youโ€™ll have ample time to explore the vast plains, woodlands, and riverine forests of the Serengeti. The park is famous for the annual Great Migration, during which millions of wildebeest, zebras, and other animals move across the plains. Enjoy game drives to witness a wide array of wildlife, including the "Big Five" (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalos).

      Stay at a safari camp or lodge within the park, immersing yourself in the natural beauty and wildlife.

  • Day 10 Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

      Your last day of the safari adventure includes a visit to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater is a unique geological feature and is home to a high concentration of wildlife. Descend into the crater for a game drive, where you can spot an abundance of animals in a compact area. In the afternoon, youโ€™ll return to Arusha, marking the end of your 12-day safari and Kilimanjaro adventure in Tanzania.
