Itinerary of your trip Temple Tours In Kathmandu- 2 Days- Nepal

  • Day 1 Day 1: Kathmandu City Tour
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Kathmandu City Tour

We begin our day with a full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, known as the "City of Glory." Our first stop is Durbar Square, the heart of religious and cultural life in Kathmandu, renowned for its impressive Newari architecture and historical significance. Highlights include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar, the residence of the Living Goddess.

Next, we visit Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, perched majestically on a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley. We then proceed to Pashupatinath Temple, a major Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located along the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. While only Hindus can enter the temple courtyard, tourists can view the temple from the eastern side of the river.

Our tour continues to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas globally. This massive structure features four pairs of eyes, each facing a cardinal direction, symbolizing the watchfulness for righteous behavior and human prosperity.

After breakfast, embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Patan, known as the "City of Fine Arts." Explore Durbar Square, Krishna Temple, and the Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar). Visit the Tibetan Handicraft Centre to observe the traditional art of carpet weaving by Tibetan refugees.

Next, enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 1.5 hours to Nagarkot, with a stop en route in Bhaktapur, the "City of Devotees." In Bhaktapur, visit Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, and the Palace of 55 Windows, and see the Lionโ€™s Gate. Explore the Nyatapola Temple, the tallest temple in Nepal, Bhairab Temple, and the Pottery Centre.

Arrive in Nagarkot in the late evening for your overnight stay.
