      Day 1: Dar Es Salaam

      Dar es salaam began as a fishing village in the mid-19th Century and gradually became an established port and trading center. The site of Dar es Salaam was originally a small village named Mzizima (Kiswahili for healthy town) dating back to 1857. Later, it became the site of plantations growing cassava, millet and maize (AKA โ€œThe port of Peaceโ€)


      Leave Dar es Salaam early in the morning heading to Selous by road.  Arrive at the campsite/Lodge; get quick lunch and proceed to experience boat safari by touring the park through Rufiji River. You will get a chance to see hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife animals along the river banks that came to source water. then return to the hotel/campsite for dinner and overnight

      After breakfast,Leave the hotel for full day game drive.Selous stand to be the second largest game reserve in Africa.  The reserve has abundant wildlife attractions, and in 1982 was declared as historical heritage by UNESCO. The scenery is amazing and beautiful.

      Herds of elephants are frequently seen. Ruaha and Rufiji rivers together make diverse landscape.The reserve is inhibited with a number of wild animals, such us: Rhinos, Hippos, Sables, Antelopes, Elands, Greater kudus, Zebras, Warthogs, Reedbucks, Giraffes, Hartebeests, with rare sported lions and hyenas.  Selous is the strong hold for buffalos, elephants and lions.   The place is also famous for bird watching.

      Selous offer unique safari experience; it is possible for boating, game driving and walking.  Each category offers unique importance, for example: Boat trip offer easy viewing of hippos, bird watching, and crocodiles.  Game drive, offers easy of covering potential areas of attractions and viewing range of animals.After game viewing return to the hotel for dinner and overningt.

      What to Expect


      Pugu Hills nature reserve park is the perfect city escape from Dar es Salaam outside the tourist track. The former name was Mogo Forrest, and a part of this area is considered to be one of the oldest forests in the world. Itโ€™s an evergreen forest with over 80 species of birds, so this is also a bird watcher paradise.


      There are several hiking trails to choose from. Itโ€™s possible to hike to the viewpoint where you can see the whole city, beautiful forest and a lake. If you like we can visit the cave which is famous for its colony of bats. There is also an area with abandon industrial structures which can be very good for creative photo shoots.

      After lunch, we shall visit the caves that are home to a colony of bats. Itโ€™s exciting, the caves and the amazing bats. Unique photo opportunities!

      We will walk through the neighbour village and get a chance to interact with locals and hear unique traditional stories. We shall also get to meet people from different ethnic groups and learn about their customs and way of life.

      After breakfast we head to Vodacom headquarters at via bagamoyo road to Morocco square and buy and register local lines and learn how mobile money transfer (OPTIONAL)


      TANZANIA NATIONAL VILLAGE MUSEUM

      Makumbusho Village Museum (explore the museum with more than half Century of age of which depicts the old way of life of Tanzanians living in straw and thatched houses. This will give you a background of our Tanzanian history till today modernized and urbanized cities beyond Dar es Salaam City. After 1 hour visiting the Museum head to Mlimani city for a brief 


      FISH MARKET

      The fish market is full of life, starting at dawn every day when local fishermen deliver

      their catch. This is a colorful introduction to the bustling life of the city.


      ASKARI MONUMENT

      This monument was erected in 1927 as a memorial for African troops who fought for

      their country in the World War One.


      MNAZI MMOJA PARK:

      This is a beautiful park near the city center and home to the symbolic Uhuru Torch

      Monument which was built to celebrate Tanzaniaโ€™s independence in 1961.

      MWALIMU NYERERE CULTURAL CENTRE - NYUMBA YA SANAA (ART HOUSE)

      The โ€˜Art Houseโ€™ or Mwalimu Nyerere Cultural Centre was established in 1983 by the

      Catholic Church. It displays traditional arts and crafts which are mostly made by

      women and people with disability.



      KARIAKOO MARKET

      Drive back to the city through the famous Kariakoo Market. Kariakoo is the main

      market in Dar es Salaam and sells exotic fresh produce, handicrafts, local textiles and many other locally made products before we drive you back to the your hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 6 Mbundya Islanda

      Mbundya Islanda

      Mbudya, an uninhabited island north of  Dar es Salaam, is one of the four islands that make up the Dar es Salaam Marine Reserve. 


      The beautiful Mbudya Island in the midst of the Indian Ocean resembles Dar Es Salaamโ€™s Zanzibar. Mbudya Island, with its white-sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise seas, is the ideal getaway for anyone looking to escape the rush and bustle of Dar es Salaam. Sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and simply spending time on the seashore with friends are all popular activities on this island.At 4 pm leave the island for dinner and overnight at your hotel.
