Hiking tours are possible on the north coast and in the high moor. Day 3: Vilsandi National Park And Island Capital Kuressaare

For hikers and nature lovers, the biggest highlight of Saaremaa is the oldest protected area in the Baltic region, the Vilsandi National Park. Founded in 1910 mainly to protect seabirds, the protection objectives of the National Park today include the preservation of the limestone coast, natural sandy beaches and more than 100 small islands. Several paths and hiking trails allow you to discover nature. Most guests visit the Harialaid Peninsula, where guests can make a 6 or 11 km hike along the sandy beach to the Leaning Lighthouse. Adventurers can even hike through the Baltic Sea along an island chain to the island of Vilsandi. There are good swimming opportunities on both hiking trails. In the afternoon you can relax in the capital Kuressaare: stroll through the old town, visit the mighty bishop's castle and sit in cozy pavement cafรฉs. Cateringbreakfast
