      Arrival In Dushanbe

      Upon arrival in Dushanbe, you will be greeted by our driver and transferred to your hotel. Check-in at noon and begin your exploration of Tajikistanโ€™s vibrant capital. Visit the Tajikistan National Museum of Antiquities to marvel at the renowned Buddha in Nirvana statue. Stroll through the Botanical Garden, a favorite retreat for locals, then immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of a local bazaar, where the essence of Tajik culture and the art of Eastern trading come to life. Continue your journey to the 18th-century Hissar Fortress (30 km), where you will discover a local madrassah and mausoleum before returning to Dushanbe for an overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 2 Dushanbe โ€“ Istaravshan โ€“ Khujand

      Depart from Dushanbe in the morning for Khujand (300 km, 5-6 hours). Traverse the Anzob Tunnel, and enjoy lunch at a local chaikhana (tearoom). In the afternoon, drive through the Shakhristan Tunnel to Istaravshan. Visit the bustling local bazaar and the Hazrat Shah architectural complex, including the Hazrat Shah Mausoleum, Khudayar Valami Mausoleum, and Namazgah Mosque from the 19th century. Explore Mug Teppe, one of Istaravshanโ€™s ancient settlements, believed to have been founded by King Cyrus. Arrive in Khujand and enjoy some free time before an overnight stay at the hotel.

      Day of sightseeing in Khujand. Visit the Museum of Archeology and Fortification, the Shaikh Muslihiddin Mosque, and the Panjshanbe Bazaar, the largest market in Tajikistan. Explore Arbob Palace, named after S. Urunhodlaev, and the Kayraccum Hydro Power Station, a symbol of the Peopleโ€™s Friendship built in 1968. Enjoy some free time in the evening and stay overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 4 Khujand โ€“ Penjikent

      Khujand โ€“ Penjikent

      Travel to Penjikent (260 km, 5-6 hours), where you will check in at a guest house and meet your guide. Visit the Museum of Rudaki, which is dedicated to the renowned poet. Discover the ruins of Ancient Penjikent, a Sogdian city founded in the 5th century and abandoned in the 8th century. Explore the remains of houses, a citadel with Zoroastrian fire temples, and the ancient city bazaar. Spend the night at the guest house.

      Journey to the Seven Lakes (80 km), passing through the UNESCO-listed settlement of Sarazm. The Seven Lakes of Marguzor, nestled in the Fan Mountains, each boasts its own distinctive color, ranging from soothing turquoise to captivating purple. Enjoy a picnic at the final lake, Khoazorchashma. Return to Penjikent (80 km) for an overnight stay at the guest house

  • Day 6 Penjikent โ€“ Iskanderkul โ€“ Saritag

      Drive to Saritag via Iskanderkul (240 km, 6-7 hours). Legend has it that Lake Iskanderkul was named after Alexander the Great, known as Iskander in the East, and was believed to be part of his route to India. Arrive and check into a guest house in Saritag for an overnight stay.

  • Day 7 Saritag โ€“ Dushanbe

      Saritag โ€“ Dushanbe

      Return to Dushanbe (160 km, 3-4 hours). Once in the capital, enjoy some free time before your overnight stay at the hotel.
