  • Day 2 Athens City Tour

      Athens City Tour

      Visit Acropolis after breakfast. With a history of 3,000 years, it is the most famous ancient building complex in Greece and the center of religious politics. The main existing relics include the the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon and the Erechtheion. There is also a modern building Acropolis Museum. Then the guide will lead you to tour the nearby Panathinaiko Stadium, located in the center of Athens. In ancient times, it was often used to hold the Panathenaic Games to commemorate the goddess Athena. The first modern Olympic Games was held here in 1896.

      Next, visit the Congress, the National Library, the Presidential Palace and the Presidential Guards. The main function of the Greek Presidential Guards is to guard the Presidential Palace and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament Building. Their unique costumes and changing of the guards are a scene in the center of Athens. Lunch is on your own. After lunch, continue the trip to the second most popular tourist attraction in Athens, Cape Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon. It takes about 1.5 hours to get there by car. Cape Sounio is located 70 kilometers southeast of Athens, at the southernmost point of Athens. Here we can also enjoy the magnificent sunset of the Aegean Sea. At the end of the day, send you back to the hotel.

After lunch, return to Santorini by boat and enjoy the beautiful sunset in Oia.
