      Today, you'll visit Malacca, the place where Malaysia's history began. The city is one of the most important historical landmarks in the country. The Portuguese, Dutch and English ruled over Malacca. The ruins and buildings of the conquerors can still be visited today. Visit St. Peter's Church (1710), the oldest Christian church still in use in Malaysia, and drive past the largest Chinese cemetery (17th century) outside of China. You will then visit the famous โ€œPorta de Santiagoโ€ gate, as well as the ruins of St. Paul's Church. We continue to โ€œDutch Squareโ€ with the Stadhuys, a salmon-colored Dutch administration building, which today houses the Malacca Museum and state authorities. Visit Christ Church and Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, also known as the โ€œDomicile of the Mercy Clouds.โ€ In Cheng Hoon Teng, you can find the three most important beliefs (Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism) under one roof. On the same street is the Kampung Kling Mosque, the country's oldest mosque with architectural features such as the so-called Meru roof, which is also built at Hindu temples. Continue to the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum, a showcase of the local history of the Chinese-Malay ethnic group, also known as Baba-Nyonya. Take a stroll along Jonker Street with its lovely antique shops. In the afternoon, drive to Kuala Lumpur (arrival around 15:00) and check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.       On this day, I'm off to explore the Cameron Highlands. These were used as a cool retreat in the highlands during British colonization. Continue the tour to Mt. Brinchang, the highest peak of the Cameron Highlands at 2032 meters, which you can reach with an off-road vehicle. Once there, you'll climb up to the lookout tower, where you'll be rewarded with a fantastic view of the entire region. In the early morning or when the temperature rises rapidly, you will experience white fog settling over the entire forest. Drive down the hill and visit one of the strawberry farms, where you can pick fresh and juicy strawberries yourself for a small fee. Then it's on to the picturesque tea plantation: The Sungei Palas Bo estate is regarded as the largest and most famous tea plantation in the region. Enjoy the view over endless hills planted with tea bushes. After a tea break, take a quick tour of a tea factory*** before you are taken back to the hotel. In the rest of your day's stage today, you'll make a short stop in Bukit Merah and visit the rescue station there for orangutan monkeys in need of help. The river takes you to the โ€œOrangutan Islandโ€. Here you can learn a lot about this endangered monkey species, about breeding and research. By boat, you will travel to one of the indigenous tribes, the Orang Asli, which translates as indigenous people (Malay orang = human; asli = original or original) and is a collective name for the various indigenous people living inside the Malay Peninsula. You will embark on a short hike through the jungle on foot. With a bit of luck, you will see the world's largest wildflower โ€œRafflesiaโ€, among other things. Then stop for a small picnic/lunch. (Please note: the flowering of Rafflesia is not a guarantee and it depends on the season) Enjoy your time at a waterfall in one of the oldest tropical rainforests in the world.
