  • Day 1 Cusco - Inca Trail - Sun Gate - Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes)

      Cusco - Inca Trail - Sun Gate - Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes)

      We will leave Cusco and drive to Ollantaytambo to take the 1.5-hour train ride along the banks of the Urubamba River to arrive at Km 104 (here, you must show your original passport at the checkpoint). We will then start our hike, exploring the Inka site of Chachabamba and trekking through the 500-year-old Inka trail. We will then reach Wiรฑay Wayna to enjoy the spectacular view of the Andes and all they have to offer.

      You will be provided with a packed lunch and refreshing drinks to continue for one hour to the Sun Gate โ€“ the door that overlooks the stunning Inka city lost for centuries. After spending some quiet time, we continue our journey to Machu Picchu. On this day, we will only take pictures from the upper part, then take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in a hotel.

      Explore Machu Picchu - Return To Cusco

      Start your morning early by enjoying a full breakfast at the hotel. Then catch the earliest bus to Machu Picchu to witness the breathtaking sunrise. Upon arrival, begin a detailed exploration led by an expert guide who will guide you through the most intriguing aspects of this famed Incan stronghold.

      Following the expert-led journey, enjoy some free time to explore the ruins at your leisure or opt for additional treks to either Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, noting these excursions are separate from the main Machu Picchu visit and not covered by your tour package.

      After immersing yourself in the historic marvels, return by bus to Aguas Calientes. Here, you can select where to dine at your own cost before catching the scenic Vistadome train to Ollantaytambo. Once you arrive, our dedicated transport service will escort you back to your accommodation, aiming for a 7:30 p.m. return.
