  • Day 1 Day 1: Drive From Kathmandu To Pokhara (8,50M) 6-7 Hours.

      Today we have a road trip to Pokhara Valley and its eye-catching Phewa Tal (lake) and on arrival will check in to our hotel close to Phewa Tal. On the bus you can sit back and admire the changing countryside of rivers, valleys and terraced farms on the surrounding hillsides. There is plenty to see at โ€˜Lakesideโ€™ with its many shops, bars and restaurants. You will enjoy sitting by the lake watching the sunset over the mountains.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Drive To Nayapul (1,010 M) And Trek To Tikhedunga (1,570 M) 4-5 Hours.

      Today we drive for about 1:25 hours from Pokhara via the attractive Lumle Village that sits upon the mountainside and then continues on to Nayapul Village (1050m). The trail on the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek begins at Nayapul and after 30 minutes we come to Birethanti where you will be asked to show your tourist permit at the checkpoint. The trail follows the banks of the Modi Khola (river) with a short stop at a teahouse on the trail, and then after another 3 -4 hours, we arrive at the beautiful village of Tikhedhunga.

      Today we have a 2-hour steep climb up to Ulleri (2070m) and then on to the predominantly Magar village of Banthanti from where we have some great views of Mt. Machapuchare (6997m - Fishtail), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Annapurna South (7219m). After heading through a blooming lush white, pink and red - flowering rhododendron forest we cross a bridge before arriving at Ghorepani Village where we have more great views of several huge peaks, such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna. Ghorepani is a warm and friendly village and a good place to sit back and take in the magnificent views.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Hike Up To Poon Hill (3,210 M) And Trek To Tadapani (2,610 M) 7-8 Hours.

      Poon Hill is notorious for offering some of the best views of the Annapurna Ranges โ€“ especially at sunrise and sunset. A very early morning start will see us arrive at Poon Hill viewpoint in time to watch the sunrise and the changing colors gleaming off the mountains, such as:  Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I  (8091m), Annapurna II  (7937m), Annapurna III  (7855m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna South (729m), Nilgiri  (6940m), Tukuche  (6920m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m) & Lamjung Himal (6931m). After frantically taking photos we will return for breakfast at Ghorepani and then to Tadapani via the scenic trail through Deurali (meaning ridge in Nepali).

      We have an easy trekking day as we pass through an oak and rhododendron forest with wildflowers present alongside the trail that add to the striking beauty of this region. We then come to the mainly Gurung village of Ghandruk with its spectacular views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, (7455m), Machapuchare, Annapurna III and Hiunchuli. Ghandruk is the 2nd largest Gurung village in all of Nepal and has a population of 4748 people. It has a rich and vibrant culture, a museum and a Buddhist monastery. Most fascinating is its characteristic style of architecture with most of the houses having slate tiled roofs and stone walls.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Trek From Ghandruk To Nayapul And Drive To Pokhara (8,50M) 6-7 Hours.

      This is our final day on the trail as we head downhill passing the teahouses at Ghandruk and then trek along a stony trail with terraced farmland beside us. We then take the trail alongside the Modi Khola (river โ€“ 50km in length) before coming to Birethanti at which point we will drive back to Pokhara.

      Today we head back by road to Kathmandu, either by bus or private vehicle depending on the size of the group. Upon our arrival at Kathmandu, we will be taken to our hotels situated close to the main tourist hub โ€“ Thamel.
