Please be advised that if you need to return early from the trek due to reasons such as sickness, unfavorable weather conditions, personal issues, itinerary modifications, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the following conditions apply: - Any payments made for flights, hotel accommodations, mountain room bookings, meals, and related expenses are nonrefundable. - You will be required to cover the costs of hotel stays, meals, and other expenses in Kathmandu independently. Additionally, please note that during the months of March to May and September to November, all flights will depart from Ramechhap.       A representative from Sherpa Expedition and Trekking will greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Later on, we will have a pre-trek briefing and give you a copy of the map showing the route we will take to EBC. You will also get to meet your trekking guide too. Please be sure to have your passport, three passport-size photos and a copy of your travel insurance policy with you. This is also the time to clear the balance of your trek. You will also be asked to sign a disclaimer form. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Fly To Lukla & Trek To Phakding (2,652M/8,700Ft) 4-5 Hours.

      Our adventure begins after we arrive at Tenzing Hillary Airport at Lukla and then follow the trail to Phakding.  The trail passes through Chaurikharka Village before heading up to Dudh Koshi Ghat (2,530m/8,300ft), then to Phakding. At Phakding we will visit the local Rimishung Monastery.

      Today we follow the trail along the banks of the Dudh Kosi River until we come to the small village of Jorsale in the Khumbu region โ€“ just south of Namche Bazaar. After a two hour trek, we finally come to Namche Bazaar. Along the trail, we can expect to have some grand views - including Mt. Everest (Sagamartha in Nepali). We officially enter the Sagarmatha National Park at Jorsale where authorities will ask to see your trekking permit. After another 5 or 6 hours of tough trekking, we come to Namche Bazaar.

      This is an ideal town with many activities available to help you acclimatize. Health specialists suggest we stay active and keep moving during the rest day instead of just sitting around idly. We can take a short trek to Thame, visiting Khunde or explore Namche Bazaar itself. Namche Bazaar is the main center of the Everest (Khumbu) region and is home to many government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery, and a vibrant market each Friday evening and Saturday. Our guides will take us to the Tourist Visitor Center close to the headquarters of the Sagarmatha National Park where we can see a variety of things related to the first Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture, and also learn about the varied plant and animal life of the Everest region.

      Today as we head to Tengboche we have views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse Shar, Taboche, Khangtega, and Thamserku peaks. A little further along the trail, we come to the army post at Phunke Tenga Village. The afternoon leaves us free to pay a visit to the Buddhist monastery at Tengboche. We can also follow the trail up a steep hill to the Sagamartha National Park Headquarters. We can also visit the Buddhist monastery here at Pangboche.


  • Day 6 Day 6: Pangboche To Thukla (4620M/15110 Ft) 5-6 Hours.

      This morning as we head out on the trail we will climb up some stone steps and pass the villages of Horse, Sonora and finally Pheriche where we will stop for a lunch break. On the trail, we pass several tea houses before arriving at Thukla. 

  • Day 7 Day 7: Thukla To Gorakshep (5170 M/16,961 Ft) And Visit Everest Base Camp (5364 M/17,594 Ft) 6-7 Hours.

      This morning we head up to Everest Base Camp and on the trail come to Pyramid and then cross Lobuche Pass (5110m), and finally arrive at Tsho Lake at Gorakshep. After a lunch break at Gorakshep, we head on to Pumori Base Camp and then continue on to EBC (5364m). After some time at EBC, we will head back to Gorakshep for the night.

      The early morning trek up to Kalapathar (5550m) is an unforgettable experience as the sun rises and reflects off the snow-covered peaks of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and other equally magnificent mountains. We then head down to Dingboche (via Lobuche) before coming to Pheriche.

      Descending is much quicker and less physically demanding as we head to Debouche and Tengboche before coming to Phunke Tenga. We continue heading down and come to the Dudh Koshi River where we cross the suspension bridge. We then stay on the trail leading to Namche Bazaar. At Namche Bazaar we can see the eye-catching peaks of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawache, and Lhotse. 

  • Day 10 Day 10: Namche To Lukla (2,804M) 6-7 Hours.

      This is our final day on the trail and first, off we head to the village of Monju. We will follow the same trail as before that we took from Lukla via Phakding. On the trail, we have extensive views down into the valleys mostly inhabited by Sherpa people. Once we arrive at Lukla we have spare time and can wander around the village. In the evening we will have dinner with our guides to commemorate the conclusion of the EBC trek.

      This morning we take off on a 30 to 40-minute scenic flight back to Kathmandu, looking down with a new admiration of the vast Himalayan Mountains. At Kathmandu, we will take you to your hotel and then in the evening.
