      Drive From Kathmandu To Pokhara

On the first day of our adventure in Nepal, weโ€™ll leave the busy city of Kathmandu and head towards Pokhara via the Prithvi Highway. You can choose to travel by tourist bus or private Jeep, and thereโ€™s also an option to fly between the two cities for an additional cost. If we travel by road, the journey will take around seven hours. This drive wonโ€™t be dull; weโ€™ll pass through some of the most beautiful and interesting rural areas of Nepal.

As we leave the Kathmandu Valley, youโ€™ll notice the landscape change. Weโ€™ll see terraced farms growing barley and traditional houses before reaching the tall peaks of the Himalayas. When we get to Pokhara, weโ€™ll check into our hotel and have the evening to explore this lovely lakeside town. You might want to take a walk by the lake, try some local food, or just relax and enjoy the view.

  • Day 2 Drive From Pokhara To Siwai (2 Hours) And Trek To Chhomrong (4-5 Hours).

Drive From Pokhara To Siwai (2 Hours) And Trek To Chhomrong (4-5 Hours).

On the second day of our trip, weโ€™ll drive for two hours from Pokhara to Siwai, passing through beautiful countryside with views of green hills, rivers, and small villages. From Siwai, weโ€™ll start our 4-5 hour trek to Chhomrong. The trek takes us through lush forests, terraced fields, and over suspension bridges. Weโ€™ll walk through small Gurung villages, experiencing local culture and taking breaks to rest and enjoy packed lunches.

As we approach Chhomrong, the terrain becomes steeper. Chhomrong is a charming hillside village with incredible views of the Annapurna and Machapuchare mountains. After checking into our teahouse or lodge, you can freshen up and relax. In the evening, explore the village, visit local shops, and interact with the friendly residents. The sunset views of the mountains are particularly stunning. After a hearty dinner, weโ€™ll rest up for the next dayโ€™s adventure.

  • Day 3 Trek From Chhomrong To Himalayan Hotel (6-7 Hours)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Trek From Chhomrong To Himalayan Hotel (6-7 Hours)

After a hearty breakfast and a warm mug of tea, weโ€™ll leave Chhomrong and head further into the Himalayas. Weโ€™ll cross the Chhomrong Khola River on a suspension bridge and climb a steep staircase through a beautiful rhododendron forest to reach Sinuwa. At the top, weโ€™ll enjoy some of the best mountain views of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek so far.

Continuing our hike, weโ€™ll pass through the small villages of Bamboo and Dovan before arriving at the Himalayan Hotel after about five or six hours. Also known as Himalaya, this place is a small community with just a few guesthouses and restaurants. Despite its size, the hospitality here is wonderful. Youโ€™ll enjoy meeting the friendly locals, and our guesthouse tonight will feel very welcoming.

  • Day 4 Trek From Himalaya To Annapurna Base Camp Via Machapuchare Base Camp (5-6 Hours)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Trek From Himalaya To Annapurna Base Camp Via Machapuchare Base Camp (5-6 Hours)

Are you ready for the final stretch into the Annapurna Sanctuary? Today is sure to be the highlight of your trek in Nepal as we visit two base camps: Machapuchare Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp. Our hike starts by following the glacial moraine into the Sanctuary. Weโ€™ll check with locals to ensure itโ€™s safe from avalanches before heading to Machapuchare Base Camp. Here, weโ€™ll have close-up views of Annapurna I, Annapurna III, and Annapurna South.

After taking in the sights at Machapuchare Base Camp, weโ€™ll hike a few more hours to reach Annapurna Base Camp. Standing before the massive Annapurna peak, youโ€™ll understand why itโ€™s known as a challenging climb. The summit reaches 8,091 meters high. Weโ€™ll take plenty of photos and enjoy the thrill of reaching our goal: Annapurna Base Camp. Weโ€™ll spend the night at one of the lodges here, celebrating our achievement.

  • Day 5 Trek From Abc To Bamboo Or Sinuwa (5-6 Hours)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Trek From Abc To Bamboo Or Sinuwa (5-6 Hours)

Rise early this morning to witness one of the most memorable sights on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. With a warm cup of tea in hand, youโ€™ll watch the sun rise over the beautiful Annapurna Sanctuary. After breakfast, weโ€™ll start our journey back, trekking downhill through the amazing Himalayan mountains. Although going down is easier, weโ€™ll keep a slow and steady pace to protect our knees on the many steep stairs. After about five or six hours, weโ€™ll reach Bamboo and choose a guesthouse for tonight.

If you prefer, we can hike a bit further to Sinuwa, which offers better mountain viewsโ€”this being your last full day of trekking in Nepal. Whatever we decide, youโ€™ll enjoy a hot meal and a good nightโ€™s rest after todayโ€™s long hike.
