Transport within China


Accommodation is in hostels on a multi-share dorm room basis. Upgrade options are available and all hostels have WiFi. One night will be spent camping on an unrestored section of the Great Wall of China (May to September)- the best way to see the site, away from the crowds and a once in a lifetime sunrise.

Itinerary of your trip Shanghai To Shanghai Adventure

  • Day 1 Day 1: Meet Your Fellow Dragons + Travel To Guilin
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Meet Your Fellow Dragons + Travel To Guilin

      Shanghai & Guilin: Day 1 - Meet your fellow dragons and Adventure leaders at the Phoenix Hostel at 1.30pm and then make your way to Shanghai South Station to board a night train to Guilin. (approximately 19 hours) 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Arrive In Yangshuo + Join A Traditional Cooking Class (Optional)

      Day 2: Arrive In Yangshuo + Join A Traditional Cooking Class (Optional)

      Yangshuo: Day 2 - Arrive at Guilin North station and make your way to Yangshuo. In the afternoon you can take part in some of our suggested optional activities - (You can either join a traditional Chinese cooking class at a practical cuisine institute, kayak along the picturesque Li River or experience traditional Chinese therapy such as hot cupping (suction cups on the back that help circulation).

      Day 3: Free Day To Explore + Optional Activities

      Yangshuo: Day 3 - Start the morning off with a relaxing bike ride and cruise down the Yulong River on Chinese style gondolas. On your first afternoon in Yangshuo, you can take part in our optional activity - (Hop on the minibus to Moon Hill and visit the local mud baths, cave complex and hot springs). In the evening let your hair down enjoy some karaoke with your fellow dragons!
