Meals

Breakfast is included at all accommodations and in your package price. Evening meals are available for an additional charge, either at the accommodation or at nearby restaurants. We are happy to provide dining recommendations. Most accommodations also offer packed lunch service (€ 5-6); please inform them the evening before your departure. We can accommodate special dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or other dietary restrictions. Please let us know about any dietary requirements or allergies at the time of booking, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. ­

Each accommodation option is carefully selected to provide comfort, authenticity, and a sense of place. ­ You will mostly stay in 3-star hotels (4-star available on request) or in private lodgings such as apartments, mountain huts, or shepherds’ cottages. Accommodation is selected for the charm or location, with small family-run hotels and cosy guesthouses. ­ We can arrange family-friendly accommodation options that cater to the needs of families with children, including connecting rooms, child-friendly facilities, and activities suitable for children of all ages. ­ We can arrange accommodation for groups of all sizes, including private lodges, villas, or multiple rooms in the same hotel or guesthouse. We can also accommodate special requests or preferences for group bookings.

This is a Self Guided tour without a guide tailored for independent travellers. Enjoy the freedom and flexibility to walk, hike, or bike at your own pace, taking breaks whenever you like, while we organise the logistics for you: accommodation and breakfast; luggage transfers; detailed tour planning; a comprehensive information package, maps, and GPS trackers. We’re always available by phone for emergencies or queries, so you won’t feel alone. Thanks to our established partnerships along all routes, we can ensure quick and efficient help in case of emergencies. ­ Your Responsibility on Self-Guided Tours ­ While you travel without an accompanying vehicle, it is your responsibility to reach the next hotel every day, even in adverse weather or if you decide not to ride. However, in case of serious trouble (bicycle breakdown, physical emergency, etc.), call our emergency hotline, and we will provide support, whether by sending a van or advising you on public transportation options such as trains and buses. ­ Please be prepared to handle minor breakdowns on your own, and for this, we provide repair kits and spare tubes.

  • Day 1 Podgorica - Mojkovac

      Podgorica - Mojkovac

      The tour starts at the railway station of Podgorica, there we meet you for instructions and bike fitting. Depending on your international arrival time you take the next train to Mojkovac. This section of the trainline Belgrade-Bar is one of the most beautiful mountain railways in Europe and an unique travel experience not to miss. The train ride takes approx. 2hrs. Overnight in Mojkovac, entrance of Tara Canyon.

  • Day 2 Tara Canyon - Durmitor National Park

      Tara Canyon - Durmitor National Park

      You cycle along the Tara River into Europe’s longest and deepest canyon, where the rock walls come closer and closer to finally open up a panorama of the river. Right at the historically infamous Tara bridge you meet our transfer which shuttles the final ascent to NP Durmitor. Overnight in Zabljak

  • Day 3 Durmitor National Park

      Durmitor National Park

      The journey continues to the magnificent National Park Durmitor with more than 25 peaks of over 2500 meters, where glaciers have carved a landscape of desolate expanses and deep canyons in a scarcely populated agricultural area. Soon the landscape will be wooded and the road winds its way downhill to lake Piva. This one of the most beautiful cycling sections of Montenegro. Overnight at lake Piva in Pluzine.

  • Day 4 Lake Piva - Niksic

      Lake Piva - Niksic

      The beautiful lake Piva is framed by high peaks and we cycle through a dramatic landscape characterized by running, stationary and falling water. We make a detour to the Orthodox monastery Piva, where time has stood still since the 16th century. The ultimate goal is Montenegro’s second largest city, Niksic. Meet your transfer (1,5hrs) to Cetinje, the old royal capital. Overnight in Cetinje.

  • Day 5 Skadar Lake National Park

      Skadar Lake National Park

      Beautiful panoramas, small villages and vineyards are the ingredients of this cycling highlight in Montenegro which takes you back to the times when Montenegro was a kingdom. This is quite challenging section but take your time and if you should need support, we are nearby. This cycling ends right in the vineyard of an artisan winery. Rewind and reward yourself with a glass of Vranac wine and local food. No worries, we transfer you back to Cetinje (25min). Remark: There is also the option (for a surcharge) to bridge 24km/+350m with a 2hrs boat ride – where you can enjoy the biggest lake of the Balkans in full. Overnight in Cetinje.

  • Day 6 Cetinje - Kotor

      Cetinje - Kotor

      Your tour starts right in the historical center of Cetinje. At first you climb to National Park Lovcen, which is later rewarded with the epic downhill along the 24 serpentine road to the Bay of Kotor right to the shores of the Adriatic sea. Remark: There is an optional shuttle to the top of Lovcen National Park for surcharge so you brige 17km/+700m Overnight in Kotor.

  • Day 7 Kotor

      Kotor

      At the end of your bike trip you can explore the picturesque sights in the Bay of Kotor. You won’t miss the baroque sailor’s town of Perast with its two church islands but there is much more to see! Once again, you can count on a beautiful route, directly along the sea. Overnight in Kotor
