You will be picked up at your city hotel and will take the group to the Arenal Volcano area. Visit the Ecocentro Danaus Nature Conservation Centre, where you can experience the biodiversity that characterises Costa Rica. On the tour you can admire the variety of tropical plants, amphibians, mammals, reptiles, insects and birds. There is also a butterfly garden where you can observe the reproduction of eggs, caterpillar, doll and butterfly. With up to 30 types of butterflies, it is one of the main attractions for visitors. In the afternoon, head to the thermal resort's room and get acquainted with the volcanic phenomena of the Arenal in the form of the pleasantly warm thermal pools. Today, many exciting activities await you. It starts with a short drive to Arenal National Park, where you can take a 1.5-hour hike. Along ash-covered paths, it crosses a cooled lava flow, which is crossed by a rocky footpath. Until a few years ago, small outbreaks were regularly observed at the Arenal, whose testimonies can still be seen in many places. Guests can enjoy beautiful views of Lake Arenal and the surrounding rolling hills. Then continue the journey via Muelle and Aguas Zarcas. San Miguel is home to an organic coffee finca where you can learn the process of coffee making on the Mi Cafecito tour and taste this world-famous hot drink. The plant thrives here at an altitude of around 750 meters above sea level in a pleasant climate. After that, we will continue to Sarapiquí to the hotel, where you will have the opportunity to plant your own tree later!
