Salta And San Pedro De Atacama

Leaving early in the morning, we enter Jujuy province to visit Unesco World Heritage Quebrada de Humahuaca. We visit Purmamarca and its colorful “Seven Colours Hill”. Then, we enter the Quebrada de Humahuaca, passing through the Posta de Hornillos, continuing towards the town of Tilcara. We continue to Huacalera, passing through the Tropic of Capricorn, from where you can see the colors of the hill called “Pollera de la Colla”. We visit the mystical Church of Uquía, where the paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels (important vestige in the area of ​​the Cuzqueña school) are located. Then we arrive in Humahuaca and admire its important Cathedral and the Independence Monument (El Indio) by the sculptor Soto Avendaño. After lunch we return to observe “Paleta del Pintor” mountain range that frames the town of Maimara from the route. And at the end of the afternoon, we arrived in the city of Salta. Early in the morning we said goodbye to Salta and we transfer to the bus station to take the bus that will allow us to cross the Andes Mountains and entering Chile in an unforgettable journey that through the Jama pass allows us to appreciate the Andean landscape. This is a long bus ride, but it's worth it. Arriving in San Pedro de Atacama, we headed to the hotel.
