4 Days Discovering Amazing Salta - Full Nature & Adventure

Welcome to Salta, La linda!  You must arrive no later than 2:00pm  Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel and in the afternoon, we will show you around this beautiful city. This Half day Tour in the city of Salta and its surroundings is ideal if you visit us for the first time. In four hours you will be able to appreciate some of our history and architectural patrimony. You will visit, among others, the heart of the city where the main square, Salta Cathedral and Cabildo tells a little bit of our past. Churchs as San Francisco and San Bernardo convent are considered architectural jewels as historic monuments like General Güemes, our famous soldier.  San Bernardo hill is perfect to appreciate the city from another perspective as San Lorenzo Village and its charm. By the end of the tour you will visit The Artisan Market (old flour mill), an important concentration of typical handicraft of the province.  Afterwards, we will head back to the city and get a nice rest at your 4* hotel.

We depart from Salta city along the Escoipe Gorge up to the breathtaking Cuesta del Obispo (Bishop's Slope) with a stop in Piedra del Molino (The Millstone, 3384 masl) the highest point of the trip, and go on across Los Cardones National Park through Tin Tin Straight path traced by natives at 3000 masl. This route evidences the same perfection as if it had been built using hi-tech tools. We will be able to appreciate the magnificence of the highest mountain in the Calchaquies Valley Cachi Snow-capped Mountain (Nevado de Cachi), which is among the 40 highest mountain in Argentina of over 6000 masl. After we reach Payogasta we will continue descending to encounter the magical town of Cachi. Traditional and staid, this village is typical for its colonial-type constructions, old houses lying on the very edge of narrow and cobbled street. Its church dates to the 18th Century and stands out for its floor, ceiling and furniture made of cactus wood and its adobe walls. Cachi has a well-recognized Anthropological Museum where the history of indigenous civilizations is exhibited in 5000 pieces unraveling a 10000-year-old story. Afterwards, we will head back to the city and get a nice rest at your 4* hotel.

Today we have 2 options for visits: Tour Purnamarca - Salinas Grandes We leave the city of Salta for Jujuy, from Jujuy we will start to visit the villages of Yala, Lozano, León, Volcán (visit the artisan fair), Tumbaya (Church where the Virgin of Punta Corral is received during Holy Week), continuing our journey we will arrive at Purmamarca - here we will have a brief technical stop to be able to walk a little and start to acclimatise to the climate of the Puna. Continuing our journey along the "Cuesta del Lipan", we will have some programmed stops in these places to take photos and live the experience of being above the clouds, we will reach our highest point (4170 m.a.s.l.), then we will descend to 3600 m.a.s.l. to visit the imposing Salinas Grandes (salt mines, Piletones and native artisans of the place), time of stay 1 ½ hours approx, Then we will return by the same route but with a different landscape since we will have the sun at our backs and the colours of the mountains change their images due to this position. Once we arrive in Purmamarca we will have the possibility to have lunch (optional at the passenger's expense), as it is always advisable to eat once we get off the Puna (we will visit the village church, the hill of 7 colours and the unmissable "paseo de los colorados") . Full Day San Antonio de los Cobres  Leaving the city of Salta, on route 51 towards San Antonio de los Cobres, we drive through Quebrada del Toro, Chorrillos, Ingeniero Maury, Alfarcito, Quebrada de las Cuevas, and Santa Rosa de Tastil, where we visit the ruins of the same name and the anthropological museum. We continue on to the mining town of San Antonio de los Cobres where we stop for lunch (at the passenger's expense) and a tour of the town. As an optional service, it is possible to add with cost the excursion of the Train to the Clouds to visit the famous La Polvorilla viaduct. In the afternoon, we return to the city of Salta by the same route 51. Overnight @  4* hotel.
