      (Morning or afternoon according to availability)  You will join a 3-hour guided tour of the Vatican City, youโ€™ll visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. As an added bonus, you wonโ€™t have to wait in the endless queues at the museums Vatican City Tour Explore two of the most astonishing places in the world, accompanied by an expert guide who will reveal the history and lesser-known stories of these magical landmarks: Vatican Museums: The Vatican Museums feature one of the worldโ€™s largest art collections, including Renaissance masterpieces and stunning classical sculptures. Youโ€™ll follow your guide through The Gallery of Maps, Raphael Rooms, Tapestry Gallery and other impressive rooms. Sistine Chapel: The Sistine Chapel is entirely decorated with breath-taking Renaissance frescos, including The Last Judgement by Michelangelo. Nowadays, the Chapel holds the Papal conclave. But Vatican City isnโ€™t only grandiosity, it also has a long, dark past of betrayal and even lust. Our guides will open our eyes. St. Peterโ€™s Basilica To guarantee safety regarding Covid-19, access to St. Peterโ€™s Basilica from the Sistine Chapel will be temporarily closed, therefore we will not visit the Basilica during the tour.   • Day 3 Rome - Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento (B-L-D)

      After picking you up from your hotel weโ€™ll head south along the Sun motorway, the oldest in Europe. As we drive along western Italy youโ€™ll see the green Roman countryside and the Castelli Romani, including the Montecassino Abbey which played a key role in the Second World War. Our first stop on the tour will be Naples. Here weโ€™ll visit the historic centre and the Mergellina port, where youโ€™ll see the Ovo Castle built in the 12th Century. Then weโ€™ll leave Naples, and continue south past the fertile Vesuvius valley to reach Pompeii. On arrival, weโ€™ll stop to have lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon weโ€™ll spend two hours walking around the ruins in Pompeii. The city, buried by the ashes and lava of Vesuvius in 79, was discovered 1,700 years later, revealing the life of yesteryear, its secrets, its gestures and the panic of its last moments. As we leave Pompeii weโ€™ll drive along one of the most beautiful roads in Italy towards Sorrento, where weโ€™ll have dinner and stay the night.
