      Reception at Rio de Janeiro airport and transfer to your hotel. You will be welcomed in Rio upon arrival at the international airport, and the guide will give you guidelines about the firsts days in South America. You will also be provided with our local contacts 24 hours/7 days that you can contact should you requiry any assistance or if you have any emergencies.  This is the begining of a great adventure in South America!

      One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the magnificent Christ the Redeemer, the iconic statue on top of Corcovado Hill, Rio’s most famous landmark. The Corcovado Hill is part of the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. On the way to its top is the Dona Marta belvedere, from where is possible to see the Maracanã Stadium, the famous Guanabara Bay and the beautiful Sugar Loaf. Once at the top of Corcovado Hill, it is possible to admire breathtaking views of Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the Botanical Garden. This tour departs the hotel after breakfast to visit the most famous landmarks sites of the city and see from above the natural beauty of Rio. After a scenic drive along Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, guests arrive at the bottom of the Corcovado Hill. They embark on a comfortable train that ascends the mountain and get at the statue of Christ the Redeemer, located 2,300 ft above sea level. Once at the top, they can use the panoramic elevators or escalators to get to the foot of the statute, as well as enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro.

      Experience the thrill of a cable car ride to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain where the views of Rio de Janeiro and the Atlantic are spectacular. The tour begins with a drive through beautiful downtown Rio, passing by the Sambodrome, the Metropolitan Museum, Cinelândia square with its historical buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. Passing through the Aterro do Flamengo, the largest park in Rio de Janeiro and arrival in Urca, home of the famous Sugarloaf Mountain, one of the major symbols of the city. The visit to the top is made by two sets of cable cars, the first taking you to the top of Urca Hill which stands 215 meters high and overlooks Guanabara Bay and its many islands, the Rio-Niteró Bridge and Corcovado Hill, where you can see the statue of Christ the Redeemer keeping watch over the citizens of Rio. The second cable car journey takes you to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain where panoramic vistas await and you can view such sights as the famous Copacabana Beach. * Optional Tour: For the night, we suggest a visit to a Samba school getting ready for the very famous Rio Carnival. The visit includes dinner in a typical Brazilian grill house and takes place until one week before Carnival. It should be added to the circuit as an extra. Check with our local experts!
