Pedra Do Sino Trekking – 02 Days – Serra Dos Órgãos – Rio De

After transfer from your lodging at Rio de Janeiro the expedition begins at the headquarters of the Serra dos Órgãos National Park in Teresópolis city. We will walk by the lower part of the park until entering the trail that will take us to the Pedra do Sino Peak. During the ascent we cross two waterfalls where the highlight is the Veil of the Bride of Teresópolis with 16 meters of height. Upon arriving at Shelter 4 we will set up our camping for overnight. We can go to Pedra do Sino Peak to enjoy a great sunset or rest. We will have dinner and rest at the mountain shelter.     Hiking time: 5 to 7 h Hiking distance: 12 km Overnight mode: Mountain Shelter at Pedra do Sino base. Meals included: Snacks, Dinner.

We will wake up early for a nocturnal hike to the Pedra do Sino summit (or to the ‘Pedra da Baleia’) to enjoy the beautiful sunrise with a great view to all Rio de Janeiro, Guanabara Bay and Tijuca Forest National Park, we bet it will be one of the best sunrises of your life, at the Serra dos Órgãos Mountain range summit.  We will have breakfast and have the morning free to enjoy the camping and explore the surrounding area. Pico do Papudo or São João are for example good alternative options! Then, we will gather the camp and return to the National Park's headquarters of Teresópolis, and then get back to Rio de Janeiro finishing the trekking expedition at your lodging.  Hiking time: 4 to 6h Hiking distance: 11 km Overnight mode: - Meals included: Breakfast, Snacks.
