      Upon arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya, who will transfer you to our hotel. After checking in, you can either rest or take a leisurely stroll around the streets of Thamel. In the evening, join us for a welcome dinner hosted by the Alpine Club of Himalaya, where you can savor delicious Nepalese cuisine.

  • Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing To World Heritage Sites

      Kathmandu Sightseeing To World Heritage Sites

      After breakfast, weโ€™ll embark on a sightseeing tour of Kathmanduโ€™s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Kathmandu Durbar Square offers a stunning display of Nepalese art and architecture, reflecting the Malla dynastyโ€™s influence from the 12th to the 18th century. Weโ€™ll visit Swayambhunath Temple, commonly known as the Monkey Temple due to its large monkey population. Next, weโ€™ll explore Pashupatinath Temple, located on the banks of the Bagmati River and one of the principal temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Finally, weโ€™ll visit the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in South Asia, situated on the ancient trade route to Tibet.

      After a brief exploration of Kathmandu, we take an hour-long flight to Nepalgunj, located in Western Nepal. Nepalgunj, a town close to the Nepal-India border and a gateway to Simikot and Humla, offers a glimpse into the diverse culture of Nepal. In Nepalgunj, weโ€™ll visit the local market, explore the mini zoo, and tour nearby villages. We will spend the night in Nepalgunj.

      After breakfast, depart from the Terai plains of Nepalgunj and take a flight to Jumla, a district known for its remote and challenging accessibility. Nestled in the foothills of the Sisne Himalaya, Jumla serves as the gateway for trekkers exploring the remote Karnali region of Nepal. We will spend the night in Jumla.

      Today is the first day of our trek. Leave Jumla and ascend to Chere Chaur along the Jugad Khola. On the way, pass Khalanga Bazzar, a small market place for the nearby villages. Will also pass a couple of villages and a temple before reaching our destination. Overnight in Chere Chaur.

      From Chere Chaur, follow the western trail and gradually ascend to the Jaljala Pass (3580 meters). After crossing the pass, continue trekking along a relatively straight path until you reach Jaljala Chaur. From there, take a steep ascent to enter the Rara Lake Circuit before arriving at Chalachaur. We will spend the night in Chalachaur.

      Todayโ€™s trek involves an uphill climb to Sinja Valley. Along the way, weโ€™ll pass through several villages and follow the Jaljala Khola stream. Sinja Valley is historically significant as it was once the ancient capital of the Khasa Kingdom, which ruled the region from the 12th to the 14th century. Excavations led by the Department of Archaeology at Cambridge University have uncovered palaces, temples, and remnants of the ancient settlement. We will spend the night in Sinja Valley.

      We depart from Sinja, following an uphill trail alongside the Hima River. From the village, we ascend a steep path before continuing on a relatively easier route to Laha Village. From Laha, the trail becomes steep again as we climb up to Ghorosingha, following the Ghatte Khola stream. We will spend the night in Ghorosingha.

      After breakfast, we begin a steep ascent along the Chuchhemara Danda ridge, where we can admire stunning views of the Himalayas, the serene Rara Lake, and the lush vegetation of Rara National Park. En route to Rara Lake, we pass through Khatyar Khola Camp and several villages, including Murma. The ascent becomes a bit easier after Murma. We continue toward Chapri village, which is home to the Rara National Park Headquarters. We will spend the night at Rara Lake.

  • Day 10 Explore Rara Lake

      Explore Rara Lake

      Rara Lake, the deepest and largest freshwater lake in Nepal, is known for its stunning azure waters and is also referred to as Mahendra Taal in honor of the late King Mahendra. After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to explore the lake by boat, enjoying its picturesque setting and observing a variety of fish. Chuchemara Peak rises to the south of Rara Lake, while the Ruma Kand and Malika Kand peaks frame the northern side. We will spend the night at Rara Lake.

  • Day 11 Rara Lake To Pina (2440M/ 8006Ft)

      From Rara Lake, we follow an easy, relatively straight path to Gamgadhi, the headquarters of the remote Mugu District. From Gamgadhi, we descend a steep trail to Pina Village, where we will spend the night.

      From Pina, descend and cross the Ghurchi Lagna pass at 3480-meter. Continue descent and pass through a few villages before reaching Bumra. The Bumra village is also known as Nauri Ghat.

      Trek Ends: Bumra To Jumla (2540M/8334Ft)

      We will cross two suspension bridges over the Hima River and then walk downhill. After a few hours, weโ€™ll arrive at a hot spring where you can relax and soothe your aching muscles with a dip. Shortly after the hot spring, weโ€™ll cross the Danphe Lagna Pass at 3691 meters. Upon reaching Cherechaur, weโ€™ll follow the same trail we took a few days ago to return to Jumla. We will spend the night in Jumla.

  • Day 14 Fly To Nepalgunj, Fly To Kathmandu

      Fly To Nepalgunj, Fly To Kathmandu

      Take the earliest flight from Jumla to Nepalgunj. From Nepalgunj, catch a flight to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, youโ€™ll have time to freshen up and rest. In the evening, the Alpine Club of Himalaya will host a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the trek. We will spend the night in Kathmandu.

  • Day 15 Final Departure

      Final Departure

      Our representative will send you off to Tribhuvan International Airport for your connecting flight home approximately 3 hours earlier than the scheduled time. Wish you safe journey home!
