  • Day 1 Quito City Tour + Telefรฉrico + Mitad Del Mundo

      Quito City Tour + Telefรฉrico + Mitad Del Mundo

      This tour is a full-day tour that includes the Old District of the city.  After walking through the colonial streets, you will then stop at the Independence Plaza to admire the Cathedral and the Governmentโ€™s Palace. We will also visit the  San Francisco Church, which was built during the 17th century. Enjoy a Chocolate tasting, where you can experience cocoa and chocolate, history, process, and live tasting of this delicious and unique delicacy of the gods, all of these inside the Cheztiff chocolate store. After visiting the historical site, you will go to the Telefรฉrico. This is one of the best ways to enjoy the city with views of beautiful valleys, snow-capped mountains, and the capital Quito. From a point of more than 13,000 feet (4000 m) high, you will enjoy magnificent views. In the afternoon, youโ€™ll will go to Mitad del Mundo which is located fifty minutes from the northwest of Quito (Ecuador). You will visit the current equatorial line and straddle the two hemispheres. In addition youโ€™ll have the chance to participate in several experiments at the Intiรฑan Museum. Things like watching water go down a drain in a different direction only inches away from either side of the equator, or balancing an egg on a nail, or using an ancient sun dial are some examples of what you can experiment here.   • Day 2 Quilotoa Lagoon

      Quilotoa Lagoon

      The excursion starts at 7:00 from your hotel in Quito. Meet your guide and board a vehicle heading south of Quito and go along the Avenue of the Volcanoes and pass through the towns of Latacunga and Pujilรญ. Stop to visit an indigenous local house from the โ€œParamosโ€ to learn about their traditions and way of life. Continue up to the Quilotoa volcano, where you will be able to descend to the lake located inside the crater or just walk around the crater. You will also be able to enjoy an unforgettable experience by kayaking in the lagoon(optional). Lunch and drive to Baรฑos. Overnight in Baรฑos.

  • Day 3 Banos

      Breakfast in the hotel. A day of exploration of the town of Baรฑos and the picturesque Valley of the waterfalls. The Pailon del Diablo is the largest and most spectacular Ecuadorยดs falls but other smaller ones are also impressive. Also, visit Manto de la Novia waterfalls and the Tree House. There is also an opportunity to practice extreme sports where our guide and driver are at your disposal for the whole day to give you the maximum flexibility in the visits that you would like to make such as a canopy or rappel in the waterfalls.

  • Day 4 Baรฑos - Cuenca

      Breakfast in the hotel.

      Early in the morning, we depart to Alausรญ, a beautiful old town with a hundred colonial houses. Time to take the spectacular train considered the most difficult train of the XX century. You will descend gradually from the highlands to the lowlands, at times zigzagging or hugging the cliffs. In the descending at the lowest point, the incredible devilโ€™s nose an interesting rock will appear on the horizon. The train descends and then returns to Alausรญ again. After lunch, weยดll depart to Cuenca.  A short stop on the way to visit the ruins of Ingapirca, Ecuadorโ€™s largest archeological Inca. Overnight in Cuenca.


  • Day 5 Cuenca

      Breakfast in the hotel.

      In the morning we depart to Chordeleg. The tour begins with a visit to the picturesque town of San Bartolomรฉ, famous for making guitars.  There are several workshops along the main road. On the way, we observe the famous Cholas Cuencanas, women who weave Panama hats while they walk or wait for the bus.  At the old town of Chordeleg, where work in gold, silver, filigree, wood, ceramics, and more catch your attention.  Weยดll visit the central park and its church and allow free time for shopping.

      We will also visit the typical Food Market of Gualaceo, where you may try the typical delicious Hornado (Roasted Pork).  A dish that consists of baked pork with llapingachos (potato) and salad.

      Finally, we arrive at a workshop on Chales or โ€œMacanasโ€, a typical outfit of our Cholas Cuencanas.  The artisans explain the process of making these famous and unique fabrics. 


      Overnight in Cuenca


  • Day 6 Cuenca - Guayaquil

      Cuenca - Guayaquil

      Breakfast in the hotel. Early in the morning, we will depart to Guayaquil (a 4-hour drive) from Cuenca. On the way, we will visit a local farm for an interactive chocolate tour and lunch.  In the afternoon, we will walk along the length of the Malecon 2000, visit the Integration Plaza, the Glass Palace, and Olmedo Plaza, etc. We will also visit the colorful barrio of Las Peรฑas, famous for its wooden architecture and art galleries. From the Fort of Santa Ana, weโ€™ll have a beautiful panoramic view of Guayaquil and the Guayas River.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Train Travel โ€“ Andean Sceneries โ€“ Incas Ruins

      After breakfast, early in the morning we will depart to Alausรญ, beautiful old town with one hundred houses.       Weโ€™ll head to Cajas National Park, which is located 30km east of Cuenca. In this area there are about 200 recreational lakes propagated between 3,150 m 4,450 m. The lakes are connected by small rivers and crystal clear waters flowing into the Pacific. 3 hours hike in the National Park. At noon, we will return to Cuenca to walk around and learn about its history, sacred art museums, fantastic colonial architecture, archeological sites, and ethnographic museums. Weโ€™ll visit The New Cathedral, Central Park, Old Cathedral, Plaza de las Flores, The Hat Factory, Museum, Mirador de Turi, Barranco, etc. Overnight in Cuenca.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Guayaquil - Cocoa Farm

      Early in the morning we will depart to Guayaquil, on the way to this beautiful city we will visit a nice Hacienda to learn about the cocoa beans cultivation process, tasting and enjoy of all the tropical products that this big farm plantation offers. In the afternoon, we will have an optonal walking tour around โ€œMalecon 2000โ€ and โ€œLas Peรฑasโ€ neighborhood. Optional: Morgan Cruise (not included).
