Day 2: Puerto Natales โ€“ Torres Del Paine National Park

We leave from the hotel in the morning to the Cueva del Milodon located 24 kilometers north of Puerto Natales. This Natural Monument is made up of three caves and a rocky conglomerate called "Devil's Chair". Before reaching the cave, the access road passes through the "Devil's Chair", a name that comes from the popular imagination given to a rocky structure with the appearance of an armchair which is said to have been the "seat" of the Milodon and that the legend transformed into "devil". At the end of the visit, we continue along the new access road to the Torres del Paine National Park, being able to observe on the way the Sofรญa Lagoon, the Prat Mountain Range, the Porteรฑo Lake, the Mesa Hill, the Toro Lake, the Sierra del Toro and the Sierra Ballena. Next, it is possible to admire the beautiful landscape that surrounds us from the Gray Lake Viewpoint (view towards the Gray Glacier, the Paine Massif and the Toro Lake). A couple of kilometers later it is possible to observe the Cuernos del Paine reaching the fork taking the road over the Serrano Bridge to continue towards the Gray Lake sector. In this sector we can make a pleasant walk along the shore of Gray Lake and if conditions help us it is possible to access the viewpoint of the Gray Peninsula. On the way back, in the parking lot of the Nursery we resume the route to return to a restaurant located in the sector to take a moment of rest with the option of having lunch. At the end of this restful rest, we began the second stage of our visit to Torres del Paine National Park, heading to the Salto Grande sector. We will visit the Nordenskjold Lake Viewpoint and continue to enjoy various views on our undulating route that brings us little by little to the Laguna Amarga sector, without first visiting the Paine Waterfall, a beautiful place where you can see the discharge of milky waters that come from the glaciers through the Rio Paine and finally drain into the Seno de Ultima Esperanza, after a long journey through the heart of the National Park. After admiring this pleasant show, we will return to the city of Puerto Natales passing through the Mirador del Lago Sarmiento arriving at dusk and bringing with it an unforgettable experience (accommodation included).

  • Day 3 Day 3: Puerto Natales โ€“ Navegaciรณn Balmaceda & Serrano
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 3: Puerto Natales โ€“ Navegaciรณn Balmaceda & Serrano

The Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers are located within the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, which is located 31 miles northwest of the city of Puerto Natales and is part of the Andes mountain range. Visiting it means admiring a majestic place, almost untouched by man. Its access is only by sea, navigating through the Ultima Esperanza Fjord, which owes its name to the โ€œlast hopeโ€ of finding the Strait of Magellan in 1557, for an expedition that was looking for it from the Pacific Ocean. The trip begins at the Puerto Natales dock, and on the way it is possible to see the buildings belonging to the Bories refrigerator, which was one of the largest meat processing industries in Patagonia, you can also see a colony of Imperial Cormorants , a small colony of Sea Lions and a variety of plants that make up the flora, such as the Coigรผe, the Canelo, the Lenga, the ร‘ire, the Chilco and the Calafate among others. The Balmaceda glacier can be seen from the ship, on the other hand, to visit the Serrano, it is necessary to do a 20-minute walk along a path that borders a small lake caused by the melting of said glacier. Return to selected hotel (Accommodation included).
