Welcome to take our Taiwan private tour with daily departure, which can be tailored to meet your individual interests. You will enjoy a more personalized experience as the trip is only for your private party, with no other people.

Day 2 Taipei - Taichung

After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and drive along the west coast to inland Taichung. Make a short stop at the remains of the photogenic Longteng Bridge. After that, head to the wooden Japanese colonial era Shengxing Railway Station, a sightseeing station built in 1916 without the usage of nails. Then, you will take a class about Hakka pounded tea in Miaoli and make your own version of this kind of tea, aka Leicha in Chinese. Later, drive onward to Taichung.

Day 3 Taichung - Sun Moon Lake

In the morning, we will depart for Lugang, an ancient cultural small town. Upon arrival, you will be accompanied to discover some ancient temples here. Then, wander along the Lugang’s old streets, which are characterized by winding alleys, unique artistic works and tasty cuisines. Afterwards, we will drive to the mountains and visit the fabulous Sun Moon Lake, one of the eight great sights in Taiwan. We will take a boat from a wharf to cruise around the lake and enjoy the majestic scenery of Sun Moon Lake, like ancient temples, exquisite pavilions, elegant trails, cute water birds and lush forests.

Day 4 Sun Moon Lake - Alishan

Sun Moon Lake - Alishan

Today, we will leave for the Jiji mountain township, where you will visit the relics of Wuchang Temple. Later, visit the Fenqihu old market street. You are advised to have some local snacks as lunch on your own. After short break in the market street, we will ascend through sea of clouds to the Alishan scenic area. It’s recommended to hike through the forests along the zigzag trails to appreciate the majestic mountain scenery. We might have an opportunity to see the stunning view of sunset and the evening glow, weather permitting. If you come here around the beginning of February to the mid of April, you will immerse yourself in a blossoming sea of flowers, except for the verdant forests.

Friendly Tips:

Hotels in Alishan Recreation Area might not be satisfying, as the goverment has strict rules of refurbishment in order to protect the environment. And also, the heating in Alishan only opens when the temperature is lower than 8℃. Hotels only provide warm shower water between 16:00~08:00.

Day 5 Alishan - Kaohsiung

Alishan - Kaohsiung

Get up early in the morning, and travel on the Alishan Forest Railway through the picturesque mountains. You might meet the spectacular sea of clouds, which is always likely to appear around dawn. Afterwards, we will head to Kaohisung, where you will take a morning excursion to Taiwan’s largest Buddhist monastery - Fo Guang Shan. Then, you will be escorted to take a boat tour of the scenic Love River, over which several bridges, with shining charm at night, have been built. At the end of the day, check into the famed hotel.

Day 6 Kaohsiung - Taitung

We will take a morning transfer via Taiwan’s banana belt to Taitung, situated on Taiwan’s beautiful east coast. Upon your arrival, we will first view Taitung’s Museum of Prehistory. Then enjoy the natural beauty of Taitung’s Forest Park with a laid-back cycling tour. There are well-equipped facilities, strong artistic atmosphere, ample verdant plantations and well-preserved ecological environments inside the park. If you are lucky, you may meet sports competitions here. Afterwards, we will spend some leisurely time at Seashore Park, and you will stroll along the shoreline and enjoying the beauteous sea view.

Day 7 Taitung - Hualien

Taitung - Hualien

Today, we will head northward to appreciate some of the most beautiful spots in Taiwan. First of all, we will indulge in the scenic natural landscape when passing the East Rift Valley, from which you can see tea plantations, elegant waterfalls, and Taiwan’s nest of rice paddies. Later, stop at the Tropic of Cancer and visit a sugar factory built during the Japanese colonial period. After having a fantastic time experiencing the pastoral interest, we will reach Hualien and check into the hotel.

Day 8 Hualien

Hualien

First visit is the Qixingtan Beach, where you can watch the sunset, stroll on the cobblestone shoreline, and appreciate the sea view of the Pacific Ocean. Later, experience the Zen vibe of a Japanese-style Ching Xiu Temple. And later, embark on a paddle boat to cruise around the scenic Liyu Lake. At the end of the day, we will finish the trip at Hualian’s Dongdamen night markets, where you can taste some authentic Hualian cuisines for dinner at your expense.

Day 9 Hualien - Taipei

Hualien - Taipei

In the morning, we will head to the Taroko Gorge National Park, and explore its gorgeous waterfalls, winding trails, torrential rivers, marble canyons and steep cliffs. You need to watch out for the fact that the opening condition of the trail might be changed due to the weather. Along the way to Taipei, we will pass the picturesque Qingshui Cliff, Taiwan’s largest coastal cliff open to the Pacific Ocean. Once we reach Taipei, check into the hotel. The rest of the day is for your private exploration of the city on your own.

After breakfast, your guided tour will start at the French-style Reunification Palace. Formerly the presidential palace, it is now a public audience chamber. You will be briefed on modern history of Vietnam while surrounded by traditional lacquer paintings hung on the interior walls. Then you will head north to for the War Remnants Museum. With a large archive, weapons, and military facilities on display, you can relive the wartime history.

Then you will continue to the suburbs to see the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground military barrack. After the visits, you will return to your hotel by private vehicle.

Its vital trading port role during the 15th to 19th century has left Hoi An with a number of old buildings in Chinese and Japanese architectural styles. Today you will explore this old town including the Japanese Covered Bridge, a Chinese assembly hall, and a museum. The rest of the day is free for your own arrangements.

Day 14: Drive To Visit Hue

After checking out the hotel, you will take a private car from Hoi An to Hue. You will stop midway at Hai Van Pass, where you can see the unobstructed coastline and horizon.

After settling in at your hotel in Hue, you will directly head for the Imperial City Citadel, located in the center of the city. Then you will take a boat along the Perfume River to reach the 7-storey Thien Mu Pagoda. From there you will proceed to the Mausoleum of King Tu Duc. It is more of a royal garden adorned with elegant pavilions, bridges, and emerald ponds. Later you will return to the Royal Palace and then wave into the Dong Ba Market, where you may indulge yourselves in tourist activities.

A morning flight will take you to Hanoi. Upon arrival, your local guide will pick you up at Hanoi Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Then, your guided Hanoi tour will start with the Temple of Literature, the earliest national academy of Vietnam. After that, you will go to the One Pillar Pagoda, which was built on a single column in the middle of a pond. The day will conclude with a visit to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology where you will learn about the customs information.
