Depending on the time of your arrival in Lima (preferably in the morning to be able to do the city tour in the afternoon) a Waman Adventures representative will be waiting with a sign with your name at the Jorge Chavez International Airport. Then you’ll be transferred to your respective hotel. After settling in our hotel and rest, we will start the city tour: Lima and its surroundings.

The tour starts with your pick-up from the hotel between 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Tour begins with a panoramic view of the "Pucllana Pyramid" or "Huaca Pucllana," considered a "Sacred Town" by the Incas.

Then, we will visit the Historical Center of Lima, designated by UNESCO as a place of Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1991. Place where we will appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings, highlighting the "Paseo de la República," San Martin Square, Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, the Municipal Palace, among others.

Later, we will visit the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank, where we will appreciate the "Treasures of Peru Collection," a selected exhibition of gold, ceramic, and textile objects from diverse pre-Columbian cultures.

After that, we will go to the Monumental Complex of San Francisco, which is the most significant sample of colonial religious art in America, where we will visit its underground crypts known as "Catacombs."

We will also know the best known residential areas of Lima, the Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores, and Larcomar.

Once the tour finished, we’ll return to your hotel.

Our tour begins with your pick-up from your hotel between 04:30 to 05:00 am, we will go to the Paracas peninsula to visit the Ballestas Islands (a National Reserve) that houses a large number of animals: Humbolt penguins, guana birds, sea lions, pelicans, etc. On the way to the Ballestas Islands, we can appreciate the Candelabrum (a mysterious geoglyph of giant dimensions). Around the crossbow islands, we will see the sea lions in their natural habitat, who love to approach the tourist boats and jump around. This is a show, which in itself, fully justifies the visit.

We will continue the trip to the city of Ica arriving to know the wine culture in a demonstration with wines and traditional pisco of this valley. After this activity, we will taste a typical local lunch according to the menu of the day.

After lunch, we will go for approximately 30 minutes to the oasis of Huacachina. In this beautiful Oasis surrounded by desert, there will be a ride full of adrenaline in tubular (buggies), and you can also do the activity of sandboarding (sliding on boards).

After this last visit, you will have free time to walk freely through the Oasis, take a boat ride, take photos, buy handicrafts or, if time favors us, appreciate a colorful sunset.

After this great adventure, and after taking numerous photographs, we will return to Lima in our private transportation.

We will arrive in Lima between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. approximately.

Day 3 Arrival In Cusco

According to your flight schedule in Cusco, a Waman Adventures representative will be waiting for you at the Cusco Airport with a sign where your name will be written, then you will be transferred to your respective hotel.

After a 15-20 minute trip to the city center, you will be installed in your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to rest and acclimatize to the altitude of the city and enjoy a delicious coca tea.

Day 4 Embark On A Tour To Chinchero, Maras & Moray

Embark On A Tour To Chinchero, Maras & Moray

This day begins our adventure through the incredible landscapes of Cusco. We will start with your pick-up from the hotel between 08:00 to 08:30 am, then we’ll go to the colorful town of Chinchero, where we will find Inca wall constructions and its small Church Colonial that awaits a lot of history. Also, we will participate in the elaboration of the Andean fabrics in a textile interpretation center, where our brothers from the town of Chinchero will show us their ancestral art.

After this fascinating experience, we will continue with our adventure towards the famous circular cultivation terraces in Moray. There, our ancestors, the Incas, experimented to find out the type of product for each altitudinal floor.

Continuing our journey, we will descend towards the Salt mines in Maras (a picturesque place with spectacular landscapes). Here, we will visit the more than 3000 wells of salt. The Incas used this salt for their consumption.

Finally, we will go to the Ollantaytambo station to take the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes (the closest town to Machu Picchu). In Aguas Calientes, we will rest and regain strength for the spectacular next day.

Day 5 Visit To Machu Picchu Inca Citadel

This day will be one of the best as we will visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World: Machu Picchu. Therefore we will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu; then we will register with our entrance tickets and our passport.

Our tour guide will provide you with all the information and will take you through the best-known sites of the Inca citadel during 02 hours of on-site guidance. You will enjoy the Historical Sanctuary in all its splendor while capturing spectacular moments with your camera. (If you add the extra entrances for the Huayna Picchu mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain, you can do it after finishing the guidance in the citadel of Machu Picchu).

After this incredible experience, we will return to Aguas Calientes to enjoy a delicious lunch (not included).

In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, upon arrival a representative of the agency will be waiting for you and then be transferred to Cusco in our private transportation.

Finally, we will leave you at your respective hotel.

Very early in the morning between 04:00 to 04:30 am, our transport will pick you up at your hotel to start the tour.

We will go to the south of the city, crossing fields, rivers, mountains, and villages. We will travel for about 2 hours until we reach the town of Cusipata, where we will enjoy our delicious breakfast.

After breakfast we will travel for another 45 minutes, observing beautiful landscapes, canyons, glaciers, and herds of llamas and alpacas, until we reach the starting point of the hike in Pulawasipata.

We will walk for approximately 2 hours until we reach the Mountain of Colors or Winincunca. On the way, we will observe a large number of South American camelids with their shepherds dressed in beautiful colorful typical costumes.

Upon reaching the top of the Mountain of Colors, we will have enough time to take the photographs and enjoy the landscape. Besides, we can also clearly appreciate the highest snow in Cusco, the Ausangate mountain.

Later we will undertake the return along the same path until we reach our transport to return to Cusipata, where we will taste our delicious buffet lunch.

After lunch we will return to Cusco, our vehicle will leave you in the center of the city.

Day 7 Flight To Puerto Maldonado & Cocha Caiman

Upon your arrival in Puerto Maldonado, Peru´s Capital City of Biodiversity, we will welcome you at the airport. Then, we’ll start our program with a visit around the city, on a bus.

Afterward, we will go to Puerto Capitanía, to board a motorized riverboat, and we’ll navigate on the Madre de Dios River. During the journey, we will submerge into a fascinating natural environment, if we are lucky we will witness Ronsocos, Caimans, Turtles, Herons, Cormorants and other animal species in their natural environment.

Arriving at the Ecoamazonia Lodge, we will enjoy an exquisite welcome drink, we’ll get settled in our bungalows and will have lunch together.

Once satisfied, you will be conducted by our specialized tour guide through an interpretive trail conveniently signposted to the Caimán Cocha, a small lake with an abundant presence of specimens of Black Caiman (Melanosuchus Niger) and Caiman (Caiman Crocodilus).

At the end of the evening, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of intensities overwhelming color ranges.

Upon returning to the Lodge, a delicious dinner will await you, and enjoy free time to share unforgettable moments at the bar, equipped with an excellent game room and all the drinks you can imagine.

Day 8 Apu Victor Lake & Monkey Island

The birds of paradise will sing to wake you up renewed.

A succulent breakfast will provide you with the necessary energy for a morning full of new experiences.

After breakfast, we will start a walk to the depths of the forest, through specially prepared trails, with bridges to cross the ravines and rivers.

During the walk we will observe the flooded forest and a variety of Flora and Fauna range and continuing, we will arrive at the majestic Lake Apu Victor, with crystal clear waters, surrounded by immense swamps and gigantic trees.

Then, we will go up to the Amazon Viewpoint, from which we will enjoy a panoramic view over the lake, observing Parrots, Macaws, Toucans, Camungos, Shanshos (Hoatzin which is a type of prehistoric-looking wild hen), Herons and other animals, such as Caymans , Turtles, etc., and if luck accompanies us, we can observe the Giant Otter; One of the most spectacular animals in the jungle.

On the way back to the lodge, a refreshing lunch will wait for you.

In the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, we will visit the Monkey Island; a unique place in the heart of the Madre de Dios River, five minutes away from the hostel. During the walk, we will observe extraordinary landscapes, with lush flora, sheltering a variety of species of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as Maquisapa, Capuchino, Leoncillo, Fraile and hopefully other species of animals, such as Coati and Lazy Bears as well as a great variety of birds

Finally, we will complete our visit to the island, enjoying the sunset, with the most impressive sunset in the jungle. Then, we will return to the lodge and conclude the day with a pleasant dinner.

Day 9 Lost Cocha - Botanical Garden

After breakfast, we will begin an adventure through the virgin jungle and accompanied by a local guide, we will take a walk in the deep jungle, to reach the Lost Cocha, which constitutes an ecosystem of refuge and feeding of an immense variety of animals. There, we will have the possibility to observe Otters, Alligators, Turtles, Sachavacas (Tapires), Multicolored plumage birds, the majestic Jaguar and a variety of fish species. This area is unique and typical of the Ecoamazonía Ecological Reserve (Map of geographical location) that keeps it intact, with immense swamps and various aguajales.

Then, we will arrive at the extraordinary Amazon Lookout, from which we can appreciate the immense and magical jungle.

Later, we will take a pleasant canoe ride around the lake and return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, we can make an optional visit to the local Botanical Garden or if you prefer, you will have the option to relax in the Amazon pool.

At night, we will have dinner and rest, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

Back at the lodge, you can enjoy an exquisite dinner. If the body allows it, you will enjoy a fun night in our bar.
