  • Day 2 Day 2: Trekking Of Lares: Cuncani - Huacahuasi

      Day 2: Trekking Of Lares: Cuncani - Huacahuasi

      Leaving very early from the Sacred Valley to travel 3 hours to the town of Cuncani where youโ€™ll start a trek ascending to 4,400 masl and then descend to the 3,800 masl where we will organize our camp.

      Youโ€™ll leave at 8am to reach 4600 masl in the Andes mountain range where youโ€™ll see our next targets the Helamcoma and Veronica snowfalls.

      Youโ€™ll leave at 8am and travel for 1 hour to Thastayoc 4,000 meters above sea level, the point where we will begin our approach hike from the Helamcoma snow base camp to 4400 meters above sea level in the Lanlaluyoc lagoons.

      Leaving at dawn to begin the ascent during the first hours before dawn we will approach the glacier and already with daylight we will begin the crossing in the glacier and the climbing of the last ridge ridge where we will have a rock III after reaching the summit and have an amazing view of the snowy Veronica and Salkantay descend to the city of Ollantaytambo to continue to the city of Urubamba where we will rest and celebrate our first summit.

      After having enough sleep to recover energy, youโ€™ll have the possibility to enjoy the infinite number of activities that the Sacred Valley of the Incas offers us since the visit of world-renowned ceramics artists to a short via ferrata that offers us particular views of the valley or just relax in our hotel.

      We will leave at 7 oโ€™clock in the morning towards the Malaga pass, where we will enter the reserved communal area of โ€‹โ€‹Thastayoc and from 4,400 masl we will descend at 4,200 masl and then we will climb to 4,800 masl to the base camp in a steep ascent and dominated by the characteristic forests of "Queรฑas", the trees that grow highest in the world.

      We will leave at 6:30 in the morning heading towards the advanced camp where we will cross some unstable moraines and climb small sections of III ยฐ of rock not bigger than 20m as well as slopes of snow and ice between 45 ยฐ to 60 ยฐ until we reach the north ridge where we will look for a platform to be able to establish our advanced camp at 5,300 masl.

      Very early in the morning, we will begin our ascent crossing important cracks and progressing on slopes between 45 to 60 ยฐ to the summit which we will arrive with the first hours of the morning When the clouds of the jungle are still down in the valley and the views from the 5,900 meters are simply wonderful, we will begin the descent doing some rappels to the advanced camp where we will eat and continue our ascent to the base camp to spend the night there.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Ascent To The Snowed Veronica: Base Camp - Thastayoc Communal Protected Area - Cusco.

      Not so early we will begin our descent through the Thastayoc ravine trying to visualize part of the unique fauna of this valley as the "Churrete real" of which there are only approximately 300 individuals in the world and this privileged valley in its habitat. At noon our transport will be waiting for us on the road at the exit of the valley to drive to the sacred valley where we will have a celebration lunch then transfer to the city of Cusco.

      Around 7 am youโ€™ll be collected from your hotel. Heading south-east by the Interoceanic highway that goes to Puerto Maldonado, we pass through the city of Urcos and within about 3 hours arriving at Ocongate, where youโ€™ll be able to purchase anything that we forget in Cusco. Then taking a detour to Pacchanta, 45 minutes from Ocongate, in Pacchanta we meet the muleteers and cook of the expedition. After lunch we start the hike 4 hours to the base camp, with impressive views of the main snow-capped Cusco region such as: Ausangate (6384 masl), Cayangate (6110 masl) and others, always accompanied by llamas and alpacas. Already at the base camp, the personal high mountain equipment (harnesses, crampons, ice axes, helmets, leggings, gloves) will be have been delivered. The high mountain guide will teach you the correct way of using the equipment, how to act on a glacier and have them ready for promotion.

      •     Dinner is at 6pm, allowing plenty of time for everyone to rest afterwards.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Qampa Base Camp - Summit - Base Camp

      Day 13: Qampa Base Camp - Summit - Base Camp

      Leaving at 3am, youโ€™ll have a light breakfast, it is essential to attack a mountain at dawn. Youโ€™ll leave the base camp and in approximately 2 hours of ascent by moraine arriving at the glacier, where we prepare ourselves with the mountain equipment to enter the glacier. After another 3 hours on the glacier youโ€™ll reach the summit of the Qampa mountain which is 5,500 meters above sea level. Taking half an hour on the summit restng and enjoying the high Andean landscapes, surrounded by much of the snowy mountains of the Cordillera Vilcanota. The descent to the base camp will take a further 3 hours, where lunch awaits and youโ€™ll have the whole afternoon free to rest after an intense day.

      •     A special dinner will be prepared ready for 6pm.

  • Day 14 Day 14: Base Camp - Pacchanta - Cusco

      Leaving at 9am for Pacchanta after breakfast, arriving at Pacchanta in about 3 hours where thereโ€™ll be the option to enter the thermal baths and buy handicrafts from Pacchanta and then have lunch and return to the City of Cusco where by around 6pm youโ€™ll be dropped to your hotels, and you can spend the evening relaxing and recalling an incredible adventure!
