      Arrive at Paro International Airport, where our representative will welcome you and escort you to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Enjoy a scenic one-hour drive through picturesque landscapes and quaint hamlets. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, also known as Sangkak Zabdhon Phodrang or the Palace of the Profound Meaning of Secret Mantras. Built in 1629 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, it is considered the first dzong in Bhutan. Continue to the Memorial Chorten, a striking Tibetan-style stupa with golden spires, built in 1974 to honor the third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Conclude your day with a visit to Tashichho Dzong, a grand fortress situated along the Wang Chhu River, known for its majestic architecture. After sightseeing, check in to your hotel for an overnight stay in Thimphu.

      After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the National Library of Bhutan, established in 1967 under the patronage of HM Queen Ashi Phuntso Choden. This library houses a collection of precious texts and manuscripts. Next, explore the Folk Heritage Museum, a traditional three-story building that offers insights into Bhutanese material culture and traditional lifestyles. Finally, visit the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, founded in 1988, where allopathic and traditional healing practices are integrated. The institute is known for its high-quality herbal products. If time permits, also visit the Takin Sanctuary.

Continue to Chimi Lhakhang, a monastery dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kinley, known as the Divine Madman, celebrated for his unconventional methods of teaching Buddhism. Arrive in Punakha and visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, a six-story fortress set against a stunning mountainous backdrop. The chorten, built to promote peace, stability, and harmony, commands breathtaking views of the Mo Chhu River and the surrounding peaks.

Continue to the National Museum of Bhutan, housed in the circular Ta-dzong, an ancient watchtower that was converted into a museum in 1968. After your exploration, check in to your hotel in Paro for an overnight stay.

      After breakfast, spend the day exploring Paro. Start with a visit to Drukgyel Dzong, one of Bhutanโ€™s four principal defense fortresses, built in 1649 to commemorate a Bhutanese victory. Next, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutanโ€™s oldest temples, constructed in the 7th century as part of a set of 108 temples by Tibetan emperor Songtsen Gampo. Conclude the day with a visit to Taktsang Monastery (Tigerโ€™s Nest), perched dramatically on a cliff at 3,000 meters. This iconic monastery is one of Bhutanโ€™s most renowned Buddhist sites. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
