EMERGENCY MEDICAL & EVACUATION INSURANCE (REQUIRED) All OneSeed travelers are required to purchase Emergency Medical and Evacuation Insurance prior to their expedition. You must show proof of insurance prior to your trip and will not be permitted to begin your expedition until completed. You may purchase this coverage through the insurance provider of your choice but it must include emergency medical and emergency evacuation insurance, providing coverage against personal accident, death, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability. We also strongly recommend that it covers cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects. A reputable insurance provider will have customer support agents who can answer questions and help choose the best plan for you. At a minimum, your coverage must include: Emergency Accident and Sickness Medical Expense Benefit: $100,000 Emergency Evacuation Benefit: $300,000 The pandemic has added additional complexities surrounding insurance as no policy covers all COVID-19 travel risks. It is the responsibility of the traveler to understand what is and is not covered under their specific policy. Insurance providers often bundle medical and evacuation with trip cancellation & interruption insurance. CANCELLATION INSURANCE (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) We highly recommend purchasing additional trip cancellation & interruption insurance after booking your flights.   • Day 1 Day 1: Paro

      Day 1: Paro

      Arrive in Paro where a OneSeed representative will be there to greet you. Check into your lodge and catch up on some much needed sleep or explore the city on your own. Peak Altitude: 7,200 ft (2195m) Inclusions: airport transfer; dinner; hotel accommodations

  • Day 2 Day 2: Paro

      Day 2: Paro

      After breakfast, take a short drive to the trailhead leading to Taktsang monastery (Tigerโ€™s Nest). The trail to the monastery climbs through beautiful pine forest with many of the trees covered with Spanish moss and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags. Stop at a cafeteria for a rest and refreshments and continue the hike until you reach the Taktsang monastery. Built in 1600s, this incredible monastery clings to the edge of a sheer rock cliff that plunges 3,000 ft. into the valley below.ย  Peak Altitude: 10,240 ft (3121m) Total Hiking: approximately 6 miles (9.6 km) / 5-6 hours trekkingย  Inclusions: breakfast / lunch / dinner; transportation; park entrance fee; trekking permit; hotel accommodations

  • Day 3 Day 3: Paro To Jele Dzong

      Day 3: Paro To Jele Dzong

      Begin the trek! Most of the day will be a steady incline up toward Jele Dzong. Gradually make your way up the ancient trade route to Jili La Pass (11,450 ft). After the pass, enjoy a short walk down to the campsite. If there is time, walk along the ridge just above camp for the stunning view of mountains and the valleys. If the weather is clear, catch a glimpse of the majestic Mt. Jomolhari in the distance. Peak Altitude: 11,450 ft (3490m) Total Hiking: approximately 6 miles (9.6 km) / 4-5 hours trekkingย  Inclusions: breakfast / box lunch / dinner; camping accommodations; public bus transportation
