Pacaya Samiria 8 Days And 7 Nights

Itinerary

Day 1: Reception and transfer.

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Saint Tomas # 410 San Juan Bautista Distrit, 00512 Peru
Reception at the airport or pick up at the hotel.
We travel by bus to Nauta (1:45 hrs approx.)
Arriving in Nauta: Tour to the Sapisapi lagoon to observe the freshwater fish largest in the world: El Paiche. Also the dragon fish, turtles, etc.
We continue our trip by boat on the Marañón river to Pacaya Samiria (4 hours approx.). During the tour we will observe birds, pink dolphins, native communities, etc.
1:00 pm - Lunch on board.
3:00 pm - Recognition of the community and small walk around the refuge.
5:00 pm - Sunset sighting (sunset).
7:00 pm - Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Yarina Community

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Saint Tomas # 410 San Juan Bautista Distrit, 00512 Peru
7:00 am - Breakfast.
8:30 am - We start our trip to the community of Yarina (5 hrs approx with intermediate stops and lunch on board).
2:30 pm - Arrival in the community of Yarina, recognition and welcome from the local population.
4:00 pm - Walk through the forest to observe the reforestation area (Huasai).
7:00 pm - Dinner.
8:00 pm - Night walk to observe amphibians and tarantulas.
10:00 pm - Overnight.

Day 3: Full day lagoon Chingana

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Saint Tomas # 410 San Juan Bautista Distrit, 00512 Peru
7:30 am - Breakfast.
9:00 am - Full day to the Chingana lagoon with lunch and refreshments. The trip will be in our boat and we will observe birds, pink dolphins, and native fauna.
We can do piranha fishing and a short walk to the lagoon.
5:00 pm - Return to the community (arrival: 6:00 pm).
7:00 pm - Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Excursion "Sendero Quita Sueño"

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Saint Tomas # 410 San Juan Bautista Distrit, 00512 Peru
7:00 am - Breakfast.
8:30 am - We get on the boat for a 15 minute trip until we reach the "Quita Sueño" trail. We went down for a walk through the jungle to see the largest tree in the Amazon: El Ceibo.
12:00 pm - Return to the community for our lunch.
2:00 pm - Rest and free time.
5:00 pm - Canoeing along the Yanayacu River in local craft canoes.
7:00 pm - Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Visit San Juan lagoon and sport fishing

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Saint Tomas # 410 San Juan Bautista Distrit, 00512 Peru
7:00 am - Breakfast.
9:00 am - Prepared with the fishing gear (nets, fishing rod, harpoon) we got on the boat to go to the lagoon San Juan (about 1 hour trip).
The San Juan lagoon is rich in fish such as piranhas, carachamas, sardines, sabalo, etc.
1:00 pm - We return to the community of Yarina.
2:00 pm - Lunch and rest.
5:00 pm - Visit an artificial beach to share the activity of natural resources management (Taricayas).
7:00 pm - Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Tambo German and recovery zone.

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Saint Tomas # 410 San Juan Bautista Distrit, 00512 Peru
7:00 am - Breakfast.
8:00 am - We get ready to continue our trip to Tambo German.
11.00 am - Stop at "Jackchiway" to observe pink and gray dolphins.
1:00 pm - Stop for lunch. Then we will make a short walk through the forest to observe primates (monkeys).
3:00 pm - We continue our trip to Tambo German.
5:00 pm - Arrival and conditioning for camping.
7:00 pm - Night excursion by boat to observe caimans from 5 to 6 meters long. If we can, we catch one for demonstration.
10:00 pm - Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Tambo German and walk through the floodplain forest

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Saint Tomas # 410 San Juan Bautista Distrit, 00512 Peru
7:00 am - Breakfast.
8:00 am - Walk through the flood forest to observe trees and medicinal plants and their traditional use.
11:00 am - We return to Tambo German for lunch.
12: 00 pm - We got on the boat to return to the community of Yarina.
4:00 pm - Arrival in the community, personal hygiene, rest.
5:00 pm - Sports games with the people of the community.
7:00 pm - Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Return to Iquitos.

Stop At: Iquitos, Iquitos, Loreto Region
5:00 am - Sunrise sighting, leaving in our boat.
7:00 am - Breakfast.
8:00 am - We prepare to travel back to Iquitos, with intermediate stops and lunch on board.
11:00 am - Swimming near where the dolphins live.
2:00 pm - Arrival in Nauta to continue our trip to Iquitos.
4:00 pm - Arrival in Iquitos.
Transfer to the airport or your hotel.
