Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, you will proceed directly to immigration, where the process is quick and straightforward. Once through customs, you will be greeted in the general arrival lounge by our friendly and efficient MTA chauffeur, who will assist you to the comfort of our vehicle for your transfer to the hotel. Begin with a visit to Jabrin Castle, built in the 17th century and renowned for its magnificent plasterwork, carved doors, and beautifully painted wooden ceiling beams. Next, make a photo stop at the Persian Bahla Fort, one of the oldest towns in Oman and the capital of the region in the 12th century. Though the monumental fort is closed for renovation, the stop offers an opportunity to appreciate its grandeur from the outside. Bahla is also famed for its pottery, which you can explore during your visit. Conclude the day with an overnight stay at a hotel in Nizwa.

In the morning, embark on a drive to Wahiba Sands, stopping for a photo opportunity at Birkat Al Mauz. This traditional village, located en route to Jebel Akhdar, features ruins of ancient tribes and is surrounded by lush plantations. The village also showcases a traditional falaj irrigation system, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to Ibra, one of Oman’s oldest cities, which was once a hub of trade, religion, education, and art. Arrive at Wahiba Sands around 3:30 PM, where you’ll be greeted by a vast expanse of undulating red and white sand dunes. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes offer a photographer’s delight. Enjoy an exhilarating session of sand dune driving, providing thrilling experiences for all. In the evening, watch the sunset from the top of the dunes, followed by a BBQ dinner. Conclude the day with an overnight stay at Wahiba Sands.

Enjoy the serene ambiance and natural beauty of the area. Next, drive to Sur, the easternmost town on the Arabian Peninsula, known for its historic dhow-building industry. The tradition of constructing these iconic wooden boats dates back centuries and is deeply tied to Oman’s maritime heritage. In the past, Omani dhows were used for long voyages, including trade routes to India. After an early dinner, visit the Ras Al Jinz turtle sanctuary. Here, you can witness green turtles making their way ashore at night to lay their eggs, having traveled thousands of kilometers to return to this nesting site. Conclude your day with an overnight stay at your hotel in Ras Al Hadd.

On clear, sunny days, as we drive along the coast, you might have the chance to spot sharks in the deep blue waters or see fleet-footed gazelles darting across the landscape. The day concludes with an overnight stay at a hotel in Muscat.
