Day 1: Oporto - Demon Lands

Stop At: Lamego, Lamego, Viseu District, Northern Portugal
Travel starts in Oporto heading Lamego. Visit to the city and points of interest: castle, cistern, Cathedral, Sanctuary of “Nossa Senhora dos Remédios”. Lunch in the village of Ucanha, and visit during the afternoon to the monasteries of “Salzedas” and “São João de Tarouca”. Accommodation in the village of Leomil. Dinner.

Day 2: Demon Lands

Stop At: Santuario Nossa Senhora da Lapa, M584, Sernancelhe 3640-170 Portugal
Day to visit several localities of the region, monasteries and sanctuaries, with lunch and dinner with regional food. Mosteiro de Nossa Senhora da Assunção de Tabosa, Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Lapa, Freixinho, Fonte Arcada, Granja do Têdo.

Day 3: Demon Lands - Douro International Natural park

Stop At: Parque Natural do Douro Internacional, Portugal
Departure from Leomil, pedestrian promenade to the natural castles of “Cabriz” or “Ponte do Fumo”. Visit to the charming Monastery of “São Pedro das Águias”. Lunch in São João da Pesqueira and wi'll get the road along Douro Valley to Mogadouro. Visit to the Castle of “Algoso” and the villages of Uva, Mora and Teixeira, to know the traditional architecture and dovecotes of the Mirandese plateau region. Accommodation in the village of Atenor and dinner in the village of Sendim.

Day 4: Douro International natural Park

Stop At: Parque Natural do Douro Internacional, Portugal
In the morning visit to the cliffs of the Douro Internacional, for bird watching and see amazing landscapes. Passage through the villages of Barrocal do Douro and Picote, a contrast between modern and traditional architecture. Visit and lunch in Miranda do Douro, followed by a kayak tour or an environmental cruise on the Douro River. Return to Atenor and dinner in the village of Palaçoulo.

Day 5: Douro International Natural Park - Côa River Valley

Stop At: Muralhas do Castelo Rodrigo, Castelo Rodrigo, Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo Portugal
Continuation of the trip towards Barca d'Alva, with stops in Lagoaça, Salto de Aldeia d'Ávila, viewpoint of Carrascalinho and Freixo de Espada à Cinta for lunch. In Barca d'Alva, boat ride along the river Douro or walking tour through the Ribeira do Mosteiro. Stop in Escalhão to visit the Church (13th century) and Ethnographic Museum. Accommodation in Castelo Rodrigo. Dinner.

Day 6: Côa River

Stop At: Vale do Coa Archaeological Park, R. do Museu, Vila Nova de Foz Coa 5150-610 Portugal
Day dedicated to get to know the region. Visit to the rock engravings of Ribeira de Piscos, in the Archaeological Park of the Côa Valley, Quinta de Erva Moira (wine Farm) and an interpretive walking tour in the Faia Brava Natural Reserve, with a nature guide. Return to Castelo Rodrigo and dinner.

Day 7: Côa River - Oporto

Stop At: Douro River, Porto Portugal
On this last day, in the morning, birdwatching in the bay of Santa Maria de Aguiar and pedestrian walk to the cliffs on the Águeda river. In the afternoon there are two options: Visit to the village of Pinhel to see its Castle and imposing lots, or train trip Pocinho / Pinhão to admire the World Heritage Douro Valley. Arrival to Oporto at 19.00.
