All of our guides are fully vaccinated to protect their safety and the safety of all visitors. We are taking recommended prevention and response measures, including: โ€ขOur Tour Guides will wear a mask throughout the tour and gloves when sanitizing, taking temperatures, opening/closing doors, and providing sanitizer to guests. โ€ขGuides will take their temperatures frequently to monitor for fever and will not work if they are sick. After an illness, a guide can return to work after receiving a negative test for COVID-19 or having no fever for 14 days. โ€ขBefore leaving our dispatch, each Tour Guide will ensure that all surfaces in the vehicle are appropriately sanitized and wiped down. โ€ข Before any guest enters the vehicle at their pickup location, our Tour Guide will use a non-contact thermometer to ensure that anyone with a fever or anyone traveling with others who have a fever (temperature must be less than 100.4ยบF (38.0ยบC)) do not enter the vehicle. โ€ขThe front seat will be off-limits to guests. โ€ข If a guest jeopardizes the health and safety of another guest, a guide, or a partner employee or customer (e.g., refuses to wear a mask, refuses to abide by social distancing guidelines, etc.), they will be removed from the tour, and no refund will be issued. โ€ขDuring the excursion, our Tour Guides will be the only individuals to open and close the vehicleโ€™s doors. โ€ขGuests will wear a mask for the duration of the tour, except in locations where masks are not required. Guests are required to supply their masks. Guests without masks will not be allowed to take the tour, and no refund will be given. Guests under age five or medically compromised will not be required to wear a mask per CDC guidelines. Children ages five and over are required to wear a face covering. โ€ขGuests will refrain from physical contact with our guide, other guests not in their party, partner staff, or other patrons while maintaining 6-foot social distancing guidelines. โ€ขAt each stop, when guests exit the vehicle, our Tour Guide will use sanitary wipes to disinfect commonly touched areas inside the vehicle. โ€ขUpon returning to the vehicle, our Tour Guide will provide hand sanitizer or wipes for each customer. โ€ขAt the end of each tour, all surfaces inside the vehicle will be sanitized and wiped down. โ€ขWe will limit the number of guests on our tours to 8. โ€ขWe are expanding our communications about our refund policy to ensure anyone who is not feeling well will receive a full refund for the tour is canceled. โ€ขOur leadership team will continue actively monitoring the recommendations from the CDC, WHO, and OHA and implement best practices accordingly. When you place your reservation, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and home address so that if we receive notification that a guest has tested positive for COVID-19, we can contact all other guests on that tour. As always, we will communicate clearly and directly about our plans and activities to continue to offer our tours in the safest possible environment.

      Drive from Hotel to Swayambhunath

      This one-day city tour of Kathmandu lets you enjoy the true colors of this beautiful city. You will be visiting many places this day. And the roads are pretty busy during the first hour, so your Kathmandu day tour begins early.


      After waking up, you freshen up and have your breakfast. Your guide will arrive at the Hotel at 8 am sharp. So be ready and donโ€™t forget your cameras and phones. Boarding the tourist bus, you head towards your first destination of Kathmandu 1 day tour.


      During this hour, the roads are less busy, so there arenโ€™t many traffic jams. Enjoying the company of the outside views, you will arrive at Swayambhunath without much hassle.


      Swayambhunath is also known as the monkey temple. This ancient complex resides on top of a hill on the cityโ€™s west side. This is one of the sacred Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Kathmandu.


      It has a stupa and a variety of small shrines surrounding it that dates back to the Licchavi period. The stupa is painted with the Buddhaโ€™s eyes, nose, and eyebrows in four directions.


      There are two access points to reach the stupa. One is the long staircase on the east side of the stupa, and the other is the roadways around the hill on the south of the stupa.


      You will be using the road that leads you to the southwest entrance. Besides, this place is quite popular among tourists as well as locals. You get a panoramic view of the beautiful city from the top of this hill.


      Usually, this place is very crowded during the early morning and evening. Many locals in this area step out for morning and evening walks. But donโ€™t worry, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the views without much disturbance.


      Drive from Swayambhunath to Boudhanath

      After having a wonderful time, you now head towards the second destination of the one-day city tour Kathmandu. During this hour, there is a high possibility of traffic jams on the routes. So, you might reach your destination later than the usual time.


      During these jams, you can look out the window and see the busy and noisy streets. After about an hourโ€™s drive, you arrive at your destination, Boudhanath stupa.


      Boudhanath stupa, also known as Boudha, is a sacred place for Tibetan and followers of Tibetan Buddhism. This stupa is located about 11 km from the northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu. It is a massive mandala making it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal.


      This stupa lies in the trials of the ancient trade route from Tibet to Kathmandu via the Sankhu village. This is one of the most visited attraction sites in the Kathmandu valley. They charge an entry fee for tourists.


      Various houses with shops and restaurants surround the stupa. You get a good feeling of peace as you enter through the gate. You can hear the holy chants being played by shops.


      If you like you can buy souvenirs for your loved ones from shops here. The ground and first floor are accessible for walking, so you can roam around the sidewalks. After roaming, you have breakfast while enjoying the marvelous view from the rooftop.


      Drive from Boudhanath to Pashupatinath

      After a healthy breakfast, you head towards your next Kathmandu 1 day tour destination; Pashupatinath. This site is not very far from Bouddha; it takes about half an hourโ€™s drive.


      Retracing the road till Chabahil, you take a left turn and head towards the site. Some parts are bumpy and dusty roads, so donโ€™t forget to carry a mask or scarf.


      Pashupatinath is a sacred Hindu temple and one of the UNESCO heritage sites. This temple lies about 5 km from the eastern valley on the banks of the Bagmati river.


      The main temple is surrounded by several collections of temples inside and ashrams on the outside. The main temple is the holy shrine of Lord Shiva. The Shiva devotees mostly visit this temple.


      This site is always crowded with devotees. You cannot wear shoes and click pictures inside the main temple. However, there is no restriction outside the main gate.


      The main temple has pagoda-style architecture with four doors in each direction. And a giant bronze statue of Nandi lies in front of the western door. There are a total of 518 temples and monuments on this ground.


      One of the major attractions of this place is their evening arati that is held every day at the same time. People gather around the temple to view the arati on the opposite side.


      Drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square

      Now you drive towards the last destination of your Kathmandu Valley day tour. You will now be traveling to Kathmandu Durbar Square. It takes about half an hour to reach this place from Pashupatinath.


      There is a high possibility of traffic jams during the evening time. So you can arrive later than the expected time. You will pass the national stadium on your way to Durbar Square.


      Kathmandu Durbar Square is also as widely famous as Basantapur Durbar Square. Likewise, this square was once the royal palace of the Malla and Shah kings. In sum, marvelous architecture surrounds the square that showcases the skills of the Newari people.


      There are several temples near this square. One of them is the Kumari temple, home of the living goddess. Another is Kasthamandap, a three-storied temple, and shelter made from a single tree.


      This place has been a significant attraction for tourists and locals. One of the palaces is being used as a museum that shows the history of the kings and queens.


      During the evening, people gather around this square for walks and viewing. There are several restaurants and cafes around this area. You have your lunch in one of the places.


      Drive back to Hotel
