  • Day 2 Buenos Aires City Tour: Southern Neighborhoods

      Buenos Aires City Tour: Southern Neighborhoods

      Your guide will meet you at your hotel, to show you the historical district (Plaza de Mayo, the Cabildo, and the main buildings), pointing out different architectural styles and impressive domes. After strolling along its Haussmann-style boulevards, head to the bohemian neighborhood of San Telmo and the very colorful La Boca, famous for its unique street, Caminito, a true open-air museum.


      English-speaking guide. The visit is done on foot and by public transportation.

      In the afternoon, you will visit a Milonga. Buenos Aires and Tango are synonymous. At the milonga, your experience will include an introduction to the codes and traditions of Tango, and beforehand you will have the opportunity to learn to dance and enjoy authentic tango with the locals.


      DURATION: 3:30 hours


      We will visit a typical Porteรฑo milonga where locals gather to dance and listen to tango. You will take a class to learn the first steps. A specialized guide will give an introduction to the codes of the milonga and the characteristics of the dance.

  • Day 3 Flight To Salta And Andean Cooking Class Experience

      Flight To Salta And Andean Cooking Class Experience

      Transfer to Buenos Aires domestic airport. 

      You take your flight to the North West. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.


      Then, you will be meeting Ana at her home just 20 minutes away from Salta to do an Ancestral Cooking Experience


      This Northern Argentinean cuisine workshop and tasting is designed to learn about the local culture and traditions.


      This project, which started in July 2022, is the brainchild of chef Ana Laura Mellado and her team Arumi.

      This activity takes place in its outdoor venue, surrounded by trees and nature, that provides a real countryside feel.


      What is included in this experience?

      With the Arumi team, you will learn to prepare traditional Northern dishes, using organic produce from our vegetable garden, and after youโ€™ll get to taste these wonderful dishes, paired with the best local wines.

      Sitting at the table with other travelers from different corners of the world, you will enjoy the stories and tales from the North.


      The whole experience lasts 3 to 4 hours in total. It starts by harvesting some ingredients from our organic vegetable garden, and it ends with lunch or dinner enjoying the dishes prepared by guests themselves and a few signature dishes, all paired with great local wines.


      Ana speaks English, you will also meet locals that speak only Spanish.


      With Arumi, youโ€™ll learn to prepare ancestral Northern food, using ingredients harvested from their vegetable garden.

  • Day 4 From Salta To Cachi Via Cactus National Park

      From Salta To Cachi Via Cactus National Park

      Early pick up of your rental car for the next few days. 


      Departure to Cachi along Highway 33. You will pass through and enjoy the points of view of the spectacular Lerma Valley, the Quebrada de Escoipe, and the Enchanted Valley. You will cross Los Cardones National Park, passing by the so-called "Inca Trail", the Recta Tin Tin, a name given to a perfectly straight section of road 33, which runs for 18 km through the cactus of the Los Cardones National Park. The construction of this route dates from the apogee of the Inca Empire between 1480 and 1535 and was then part of the Inca Trail that ran along the Andes from Ecuador to Argentina. You will probably see lamas next to the route.


      Once at Cachi, discover this splendid small town of colonial inheritance, with low houses tinged with white lime. There is a peaceful atmosphere perfect to do some walking. In the central square, do not miss the church whose roof is built of candelabra cactus wood.

  • Day 5 Through The Calchaquรญ Valleys

      Through The Calchaquรญ Valleys

      En route for 160 kilometers of sumptuous landscapes between Cachi and Cafayate. You will take a trail that crosses beautiful landscapes mixing colorful mountains, hills, meadows, and isolated villages.

      From Cachi, the famous Route 40 runs along the Calchaquรญ River to the south. The trail serves a few villages down to Molinos, one of the most charming villages in the Calchaquรญ Valleys. If the surroundings seem deserted and forgotten, they have nevertheless been for years an important trade route on the road to the Andes. The village of Molinos owes its name to the mills built on the river. Route 40 continues to Angastaco with its chili fields and its small center that comes alive when the heat falls.


      You will admire the Quebrada de las Flechas, an intense red mountain dam and sharp rocks spilling out of the ground.


      At your arrival, you will discover the city of Cafayate and can visit a bodega to taste the famous wines of Torrontรฉs typical of this wine region.

  • Day 6 Meet A Rural Community Around Cafayate

      Meet A Rural Community Around Cafayate

      On this day you will meet a local community in the Calchaquies Valleys. Several communities open their doors to receive travelers.


      DIVISADERO:

      Only 6 km from Cafayate, you will find a small community that will welcome you at night. You will stay with one of the three local families. The houses are 100-200 meters apart.

      These families cultivate the land and you will be able to discover with them the different techniques and fruits and vegetables of the region. You also have the possibility to discover local and artisanal wines made by one of the families.

      Donโ€™t miss the opportunity to make one of the possible walks through the "Rรญo Colorado" where you will find a waterfall to refresh yourself!

      There are also archaeological sites where you can see rock paintings.


      CORRALITO:

      If you want to do ceramics and horseback riding, you must meet the community in Corralito, located 30 km from Cafayate. You will participate in activities such as harvesting vegetables typical of the region and raising animals. If you are lucky, you will be able to be at the time of the pepper harvest!

      There are also several possible walks, for example to the "Caรฑon de los Colorados".

      There is only one house in this locality.

      In both cases, all meals are included and home-made. You will participate in the preparation of the same and you will be able to enjoy the peace and quiet where the families are.

  • Day 7 Quebrada De Las Conchas

      Quebrada De Las Conchas

      During the journey from Cafayate to Salta along Route 68, you will have the opportunity to explore and marvel at the Quebrada de las Conchas, also known as Quebrada de Cafayate. This is a natural reserve located in the province of Salta, famous for its rock formations and spectacular landscapes.


      As you venture into the Quebrada de las Conchas, you will witness incredible geological formations sculpted by erosion over millions of years. Among the most prominent formations are the Amphitheater, a natural rock formation shaped like an amphitheater with impressive acoustics, and Los Castillos, a series of formations resembling a giant sandcastle.


      Additionally, you will be able to admire the Garganta del Diablo, a narrow gorge carved by a river with turquoise waters, and the Mirador de Tres Cruces, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the quebrada.


      Along this stretch of the route, you will find several points of interest where you can stop, explore, and take photographs of these unique landscapes. The Quebrada de las Conchas is a perfect place to connect with nature, appreciate the beauty of the scenery, and enjoy an unforgettable scenic journey. You can make stops in charming towns like Alemania, where you can admire its colonial church and cobblestone streets. You can also visit the city of El Carril, known for its colonial architecture and tranquil atmosphere.

      As you approach Salta, you will notice a change in the landscape, with the emergence of lush green hills. 


      You will soon arrive in the city of Salta, famous for its Spanish colonial architecture and rich cultural history. Donโ€™t miss the Plaza 9 de Julio, the Cabildo, and the Salta Cathedral, which are some of the most prominent points of interest.

      Today you will take the legendary route 9, towards the province of Jujuy. This is your opportunity to browse the beginning of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and reach the small village of Purmamarca, "village of the Holy Land" in Aymara language. This very traditional village is located at the foot of the famous mountain of 7 colors, a kind of mineral rainbow.


      In the afternoon, you can take the direction of Large Salines, this salt desert located at over 4096 meters above sea level.


      You will spend the night in Purmamarca.

  • Day 9 Discovering The Quebrada De Humahuaca

      Discovering The Quebrada De Humahuaca

      Wake up in front of the magnificent Cerro de los Siete Colores (the "Mountain of 7 colors"). Dpearturealong the Quebrada de Humahuaca and its small villages, this spectacular valley is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will discover the sights and colorful markets of each small village, especially those of Tilcara and the Pucarรก (archaeological site), then the village of Humahuaca.

      The small town of Tilcara awaits you and will amaze you with its picturesque and special streets. Tilcara is a town with a lot of life, its cultural and recreational options are varied although it has only 7,000 inhabitants. Tilcara has always been a place of meetings and cultural exchanges. As a north-south and east-west axis of the pre-Inca and colonial routes, different cultural groups used this road from east to west to exchange jungle and Pacific products along the royal road, which carried products mainly to Potosi and its inexhaustible silver mine. Tilcara is without doubt one of the most visited tourist destinations in northern Argentina.

      The Quebrada de Humahuaca was also the former royal road during the colonial period, through which it reached southern Bolivia and its rich silver mine of Potosรญ. The Quebrada de Humahuaca has been declared a Natural and Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO for its scenic beauty and 11,000 years of history, from hunter-gatherers to the Inca or indigenous Hispanic period.

      At the end of the afternoon, you will return to Salta, known as "la linda. (the pretty Salta).

  • Day 10 Flight To Iguazu, World Heritage Site

      Take your flight to Puerto Iguazu.


      You will arrive at the quiet town of Puerto Iguazu. You can enjoy the rest of the day to:


      Visit the animal refuge of Gรผra Oga, located 5 km away from the city center through de National Park road. This reserve is a veterinarian clinic and a rehabilitation center for injured wild animals.


      Visit the hummingbird aviary: "El jardin de los picaflores".


      Go to the point of view of the tripartite border of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. 1 km away to the west of Puerto IIguazรบ, there is a craftwork market.

  • Day 11 Visit To The Waterfalls (Argentinian Side)

      This day is dedicated to discovering the impressive Iguazรบ Falls, on the Argentinian side!

      In the morning, transfer to the famous Iguazu Falls.  Once there, youโ€™re free to stroll along the footbridges to discover the impressive viewpoints. You will discover the 3 circuits: the Lower, the Upper and the famous Devilโ€™s Throat.


      Return to Puerto Iguazรบ


      Distance to cover on the footbridges

      Lower circuit: 1700 metres.

      Upper Circuit: 1750 metres.

      Garganta del Diablo route: first stage by train (ticket included). Second stage by footbridge: 2200 metres.

      Today you will leave for the Iguazรบ National Park to discover the impressive views of the waterfalls from the Brazilian side (donโ€™t forget your passport!). Enjoy freely the different points of view from the numerous footbridges.


      Return to Puerto Iguazรบ at the end of the evening.

  • Day 13 Natural Paradise In Puerto Bemberg

      Discover the Puerto Bemberg nature reserve, a 400-hectare jungle paradise where nature and history offer a unique experience.


      Discover the tranquility on the banks of the Paranรก River.

      Transfer of around 45 minutes to this setting.  Once there, youโ€™ll sail to Yasy Falls, an immersive experience where the waters take you into the majesty of nature, allowing you to enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters.

      The family-friendly trip departs from the Puerto Bemberg hostel and heads for the port area.

      Aboard a RIB, the group travels 13 km upstream to the mouth of the Yasy Falls. After a 500-meter walk to the foot of the waterfall, thereโ€™s time for a refreshing dip in the water.

      After this aquatic adventure, a lunch at the hotel offers local flavors and moments of relaxation. Afterwards, kayaking on the Paranรก River plunges you into the serenity of the aquatic environment, completing a day rich in emotions.

      The day ends with a captivating history of yerba mate, and a cultural touch is added, linking you to the roots and rich tradition of this plant in the region.
