It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum, JANTAR MANTAR โ€“ This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use. HAWA MAHAL โ€“ The ornamental facade of this โ€œPalace of Windsโ€ is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-storey str


      uctures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women.

At the Diwan-I-Am (hall of public audience), a colonnaded hall of red-sandstone with a throne alcove of inlaid marble at the back, the Emperor heard public petitions. At the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience) where marble pavilions with floral inlays lend an ethereal ambience, the Emperor sat on his gem-studded peacock Throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms.

      The day starts with an early morning boat ride on the River Ganges. The locals of Varanasi visit River Ganges very early in the morning to pray to Sun God as well as to offer prayers to the holy River Ganges, considered as mother goddess. The boat ride also takes you to various other ghats where you will see the daily rituals along the Ganges like washing, bathing and praying. For instance, Manikarnika Ghat is famous for Hindu cremation rituals, Dashashwamedha Ghat is popular for the Ganga Aarti ceremony (holy worship rituals of the Ganges), Assi Ghat, the southernmost and a prominent bathing ghat in Varanasi, situated at the union of the rivers Ganga and Assi. After the boat ride, return to your hotel and enjoy breakfast. Afterwards, you will be visiting some of the prominent temples in the city like Sankat Mochan Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple - an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva that was restored and rebuilt to its present glory in 1776, Kalbhairav temple, .
