Today after breakfast start the full day sightseeing tour of “ New & Old Delhi “ The former center of Mughal power which offers ancient monuments, narrow streets and bustling markets. Visit the Red Fort built in 1648 by the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan famous for his great edifice of love the Taj Mahal. Also see the biggest mosque in India the Jama Masjid, constructed by Shah Jahan in 1658. Then you can take Rickshaw Ride at Old Delhi the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk to get a feel of the royal life of the Mughal emperors. Post lunch visit “ New Delhi “ which came into existence much later, and is also known as Lutyens Delhi, taking after the name of a British architect who was largely responsible in designing India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, Grand Presidential House, Secretariat, Parliament House and many other buildings in that area. Visit the recent jewel in the crown, Lotus Temple and then drive on to see the tallest tower in Delhi, known as Qutub Minar, which declared the arrival and rise of Islam in India. En-route visit 16th century Mughal town of Fatehpur Sikri, Old deserted town of Mughal Dynasty –Fatehpur Sikri built in Red sandstone in honor of Saint Salim Chisti, who foretold the birth of 3 sons to Emperor Akbar, is an example of robust stability combined with originality. Also visit Abhaneri Step well- The massive stepwell built to conserve rainwater is 20 m deep with 13 levels, is considered deepest and largest stepwell in India. This morning after breakfast visit impressive Amber Fort situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur city. At the foot of the hill you will mount your caparisoned elephant for the slow but steady climb up to the main gate, making your entrance in the time honoured fashion. The Fort, completed in the early 18th century, took over 100 years to build and now, although deserted, offers a fascinating insight into the lifestyle of the Mughal ruling families. Later afternoon tour of the City - "The Pink City" is spectacularly set within surrounding rugged hills, dotted with ancient ruined fortresses. Your tour will include the imposing City Palace, still home to the Maharaja although several of the rooms are now open to the public. Many antiques and artifacts belonging to the ruling family are housed here, including a collection of weaponry. You will also visit the Hawa Mahal "Palace of the Winds", and the open-air Jantar Mantar Observatory to see the vast astronomical, instruments. Also visit Albert hall, enjoy a stroll through the colorful bazaar before returning to your hotel. In the evening drive to Indiana Palace to enjoy dinner with live Rajasthani folk music & dance show.
